Maintain international award-winning Model UN and Model Arab League teams, as well as a rapidly growing Mock Trial team. Brought three external grants for student academic enrichment programs to campus Graduate education Developed two new M.A. programs, including a fully online program and a 4+1 program in which students earn the BA and MA in five years Won competitive College funding for recruitment, retention, and graduation of doctoral students by developing our own innovative approaches. Maintained a strong record of placement in tenure-track academic appointments for our doctoral graduates Created a monthly in-house research colloquium for students writing their dissertations, to foster a sense of community and connection. Developed new assessment system to measure students success in program from year one. Development and community relationship-building Created an advisory board comprised of distinguished alumni. Tripled annual giving to department. Established the annual Zoukis Summer Institute for undergraduate engaged learning, and the Research Collaborative on Mandatory Minimum Sentencing, both funded by an endowed gift secured by my predecessor. Regularly engage practitioners from the community to teach upper division undergraduate courses and provide student mentoring. Department supports recruitment, administration, and teaching functions for the Georgia Legislative Internship Program for undergraduates from throughout the University System of Georgia.
