Being in a historic part of the most powerful city in the world makes this an exciting place to study. It also provides an incredible array of opportunities for deepening graduate research: students can take classes at

7 other Washington area schools and frequently have one member of their dissertation committee from another school or a think tank in the area. Our fellowships are competitive. For incoming students, we offer five years of funding that covers tuition and a stipend of over $18,000. We have several teaching opportunities available to students, in addition to regular chances to be a teaching assistant or research assistant.
