12 MAIN FORMS OF ENGAGEMENT WITH UN PROCESSES: Preparing and deliver written and oral statements Organize side - events on the topic discussed at these meetings. Meet with diplomats from Member States to discuss issues we are trying to forward at the UN. e.g. at the moment, we are working on Universal Social Protection as a means of eradicating poverty. Invite members of our network to speak at official meetings or side-events when possible. Of special interest are persons with direct experience of and directly affected by the topic being discussed.

13 An essential aspect of our work is the knowledge necessary to carry out the task at hand. Therefore, we attend UN Briefings, Commissions, High Level Panels, Forums Online Briefings Workshops Discussions and other relevant activities to educate ourselves on the issues and keep up to date with the ongoing processes.
