2 We have tried to give a corruption free government in two years and even opposition could not be able to level any corruption charge on us: Amit Shah Striking a balance between public welfare and reforms, we work to ensure that the development might reach out to the last man standing at the edge of society: Amit Shah We have launched a new initiative in every 15 years and implemented it in a right way: Amit Shah We made schemes like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao', Namami Ganga project and Gram Swaraj Abhiyan a movement of society and transformed it into a mission of social change: Amit Shah BJP National President, Shri Amit Shah addressed a press conference, today at the party's central headquarters on the occasion of the completion of 2 years of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi led BJP government at the Centre and discussed the achievements of the BJP government. Speaking on the 'Vikas Parv' event, the BJP president said that the BJP will take the achievements of the two years of Modi government to the public for next 15 days and through press conferences, youth convention, interactions with intellectuals and vox populi, a massive public relation campaign will be run. He said, wherever there are the BJP government, we have followed the tradition to give an account of our work & activities to the people. He said, the central government ministers, our MPs, MLAs and office bearers shall visit all parts of the country, will spend night in villages and discuss directly with the people on the public welfare initiatives taken by the Modi government for the development of villages, poor, farmers, dalits, backwards, labourers and youth. Modi Government: A Decisive Government
3 The BJP President said that in two years, we have worked to give the country a decisive government, which take quick decisions for the development of the country and public welfare, make policies for that and make sure that these policies get implemented as well. He said, a government has come in the country after a long time that worked tirelessly for the development of the country. Realizing the dream of being a corruption free India Referring to the achievements of the Modi government, Shri Shah said that during the Congress led UPA government, there were chaos everywhere in the country, corruption and scandal were at the peak, there was an atmosphere of fear and there was a state of policy paralysis. He said, t he glory story of Vajpayee Ji regime, we started was ruined by the UPA government in 2 years while we have taken many important steps towards a quick solution of the problems of the people in past two years. He said, we have tried to give a corruption free government in these two years and even opposition could not be able to level any corruption charge on us. Shri Shah said, we have succeeded to uproot corruption from the country to a great extent. He said that we got significant success in eradicating corruption through administrative reforms. He said, we earned an unexpected rewards from coal block, 2G spectrum, FM radio band and other mineral block auction. He said that in two years, we are able to give a corruption free and transparent government to the country. Economic Achievements: 21st Century is of India s Century BJP President said that the Modi government have done superb and excellent job in every aspect in past two years. He said, it is result of the progressive reforms brought by Modi government, unique schemes launched to improve the quality of life of common people of the country, efficient management of natural resources and continuous effort to better advance infrastructure at a rapid pace, that all the international agencies have considered India as the fastest growing economy in the World, given positive ratings in every aspects and accepts that India's future is bright even when the global economy is going through a period of uncertainty. He said, today again the world come to believe that the 21st
4 century is the century of India. He said that it was possible that the Prime Minister's determination is to bring "Reforms for Change. Referring to the Modi government's economic achievements on the economic front, the BJP President said that the Modi government has established many new dimensions of success in economic sector. He said, India is leading consistently as a fastest growing economy in the world, GDP growth rate is continuously hovering above 7.5%, inflation is under control, the FDI equity inflow is on a record new high, fiscal deficit decreased by a great margin, foreign exchange reserves increased significantly and has reached to a record level, Ease of doing business rating improved significantly, stalled projects are now running via zero red tape policy and the service sector outputs has been shown a positive increase. Poverty Eradication is the Modi government's priority Highlighting poverty eradication schemes of the central government, the BJP President said, we have opened the doors of banks for poor, opened their bank accounts, connected their back account with social security schemes via Jeevan Jyoti Beema, Jeevan Suraksha Bima and Atal Pension Yojana and ensured that the DBT subsidy for poor reached their own bank accounts. Shri Shah said, on the one 'Give it Up' appeal of the Prime Minister, nearly 10 million people leave their LPG subsidy so that the subsidized cylinder could reach out to the poor. He said, by implementing 'PAHAL', we saved nearly Rs.14,000 crore and now we are working on providing free gas connection to poor families through 'Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana'. He said, via this scheme, we will be able to provide free gas connection to approx 6 crore poor families. Driving Development to Villages The BJP President said that the central government led by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi is committed to the development of villages. He said that the villages are being linked with paved roads, plans to give each poor their own home by 2022 moving with a rapid pace, electrification of villages is going on with a fast pace, the use of LED bulbs is being promoted to reduce power consumption, national highways are being built, each panchayat has a plan of
5 Rs.2 lakh crore for its development, animal husbandry is being promoted via Gokul mission and better education & health facilities are being arranged. Decisive initiatives has been taken to eradicate unemployment Shri Shah said that we have done quite commendable efforts to eradicate unemployment from the country, we make millions of youth an entrepreneur through the Mudra bank scheme which is peerless. He said that we have created efficient job opportunities through Make in India, Skilled India, Startup India and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. He said, nearly 5 crore people have already begun their entrepreneurship by taking advantage of these four schemes which is a noticeable change. We have developed atmosphere for self employment and entrepreneurship by these schemes and worked to connect the undeveloped people to mainstream society. He said, we launched a new initiative in every 15 days and implemented it in right manners. Dedicated for wellness of Farmers Shri Shah said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, BJP Government at the Centre has laid foundation for many initiatives. He said, we have changed the scales for compensation of crop loss to the farmers and with the help of Prime Minister Crop insurance scheme, we have taken strong initiatives to strengthen the farmers. He said, we launched Soil health card scheme to improve the quality of soil and increase yield, we worked to send lab to the land via this way. He said, we initiated Prime Minister irrigation scheme to provide water for each farm. He said, we launched e mandi portal for farmers to get correct price for their crops, we controlled black marketing of urea by producing neem coated urea and this happen for the first time in India that there is no problem regarding urea in the country. Focus on Infrastructure Development BJP President said that our government is paying most attention on development of infrastructure. He said, during the UPA regime, highway construction was going at the slow rate of 2 to 4 km per day while today it is going on with a speed of nearly 18 km per day. He said Sagarmala project and two waterways in Ganga and Brahmaputra river are being constructed, construction of new ports
6 and development of old ports is going on and shipping corporation has succeeded in getting profit for the very first time. Public Problems become Public movement Shri Shah Shah said that the campaign like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Namami Ganga project and Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan has changed the state and direction of the country, we have transformed public issues into public movement to get its long term solution and now we have have succeeded in making changes on large scale in the lives of people. 2015: A long list of earned credits BJP President said that if we talk about our achievements earned in 2015 than it becomes a long list of records, likewise production of urea in India increased first time after independence, highest production of ethanol in the form of mixed fuel, highest number of domestic gas connections have been distributed, highest production of coal has been achieved, highest transportation of luggage from the major ports have been done, highest increment in railway income deployment in railways, reach highest number of highway construction in terms of per kilometers per day, got highest production of motor vehicles in 2015, highest export of softwares, got best ranking in ease of doing business indicator and got record foreign exchange reserves. He said, we implemented 'One Rank, One Pension' pending from 40 years. Re formation of Secure and prosperous India BJP President said that the Modi government has laid the foundation for re formation of secure and prosperous India and has worked on making strong democratic procedures. He said, we made schemes a social movement and turned it to the project of social transformation. He said, we initiated to uproot corruption from every sector, initiated for transparency and rendered the procedure of overall development of the country. He said that either it be the defense policy or modernization of armed force or it be the matter of foreign policy, the government under the leadership of Prime
7 Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has got unbelievable success. He said that Prime Minister himself monitors all the pronounced schemes with council of ministers so that these schemes can be implemented in the time limit. He said that we strike a balance between public welfare and reforms, we work to ensure that the development might reach out to the last man standing at the edge of society. Shri Shah said, today India has the most popular, berserk Prime MInister like Shri Narendra Modi as a public servant having an ironic will who tirelessly work with the ideology of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'.
