2 Course aims: Learning outcomes: This course aims to help you start answering these sorts of questions by examining globalization in all its diverse forms of world-wide interconnection. We will discuss about the influences that the changing international business environment. Also this course explores changes in the international economy and their effects on domestic politics, economy, and society. It offers an overview of various aspects of global economy within the field of economic geography and its linkages to related issues of resources, development, international business and trade. It investigates the phenomenon of globalization and seeks to provide understanding of today s increasingly interdependent world. On successful completion of this course the students be able to get fundamental knowledge regarding the dynamics of the global economy and a basic understanding of the evolution of spatial organization theory. Students will be able to explore characteristics of global economies ; examine Causes Of, causes of international trade change and new trends in global capital flows, Understand flows and circulation of people, ideas, commodities and capital across the globe, Identify major economic and political trends and the role of trade and commodities in shaping global history and define key international business terms and concepts Indicative syllabus content: Learning delivery: Assessment Rationale: This course introduces to students: Changes In Global Markets; Causes Of, International, and Trading Environment of International Trade, and Development, Global Capital Flows, Characteristics and Challenges for Global Enterprises, The Consequences of, Global Governance, Transnational State, Transnational Institutions, Organizational Governance and Structure, The of Trade and Finance. The methods include lecturing (which involve power point presentations), tutorials, student presentations, projects and class discussions. Quiz, Midterm, Article review and Term project are utilized for measuring knowledge usage. In multiple choice questions correct answers are valued, for problems correct answers and procedures are valued, in essay section correct elaboration of question is valued. All achievements over 55% are satisfactory passing.
