This Committee aims to be the proper authority for the development of proposals and initiatives to get cultural operators ready to develop and compare cooperation experiences and to solve criticalities. Key words: archives, libraries, museums, professionalism, valorization Izvleček: Muzeji, arhivi, knjižnice: Strokovnjaki na področju kulturne dediščine Italijansko nacionalno združenje arhivistov (ANAI - Associazione Nazionale Archivistica Italiana), Združenje italijanskih knjižnic (AIB - Associazione Italiana Biblioteche) in italijanska veja Mednarodnega muzejskega sveta (ICOM Italija) so 12. junija 2012 podpisali memorandum združenja MAB (Musei Archivi Biblioteche - Professionisti del patrimonio culturale) o koordinaciji varovanja, urejanja in vrednotenja kulturne dediščine. Ključne besede: arhivi, knjižnice, muzeji, strokovnost, vrednotenje Possible relationships and interrelationships between different cultural heritages have long been considered in Italy. Archivists, however, have always been highlighting the differences between the "archival cultural good" and the other goods. In fact, it is incontrovertible that, unlike other assets, archives are not, although very rarely, born for cultural purposes, but for administrative and legal purposes. Moreover, documents are not normally equipped with an aesthetic aspect that are part of, or characteristic of, artistic prose or literary works, etc Prof. Grazia Tatò, Ph. 2 G. Tatò: MAB (Musei Archivi Biblioteche) Museum, Archives, Libraries: Professionals in the Field of Cultural Heritage Therefore, there is a substantial difference, which is a fruit of archivists' imagination, but substantial differences also exist between archaeological, artistic, architectural and bibliographical goods. A junction point exists, anywhere, in the common nature of cultural heritage, and also in the "necessary" connections between different types of assets: In fact, there is no library or museum that does not have an archives, at least its own, but often also archives of other creators converged in the institution because of donations or other reason; there is no archives that does not have a library, and almost always museums too have one; art collections of various kinds are often found in archives and libraries. Moreover, if we try to put ourselves on the side of users, all sophisticated reflections of cultural operators, archivists, librarians or museals lose some of their importance. It is certainly not a matter of not recognizing or not giving the due recognition to the scientific importance of each sector, but only to reconnect the wires of a discourse that can help serious research through paths using different cultural heritages. It is also a matter of creating a network between operators, closing ranks and working closely together to enforce the extraordinary heritage that all countries have and do not always know how to fully exploit. In view of all this, on June 12, 2012, the presidents of national associations of professional librarians (AIB), museums (ICOM) and archivists (ANAI) gave birth to the MAB (Museums, Archives, Libraries), a coordination of associations whose funding charter is shown below. It is useful to point out that these are associations of cultural operators and not institutions, so are those who work directly to voluntarily undertake the defense of the protected cultural heritage protected, and also of their own work. Trieste, 17 October The Rector of the University of Trieste The President AIB FVG The President ANAI FVG The President of ICOM POVZETEK MAB (MUSEI ARCHIVI BIBLIOTECHE): PROFESSIONISTI DEL PATRIMONIO CULTURALE (MUZEJI, ARHIVI, KNJIŽNICE: STROKOVNJAKI NA PODROČJU KULTURNE DEDIŠČINE) Med arheološko, umetniško, arhitekturno, bibliografsko in arhivsko kulturno dediščino obstajajo velike razlike. 87
