Development, advancement, or improvement, as toward a goal. An idea or story that many people believe, but which is not true. An ancient story, especially one invented in order to explain natural or historical events. A story from ancient times, especially one that was told to explain natural events or to describe early history of a people. Something that many people believe but that does not exist or is false. A myth is a well-known story which was made up in the past to explain natural events or to justify religious beliefs or social customs. If you describe a belief or explanation as a myth, you mean that many people believe it but it is actually untrue. A traditional, typically ancient story dealing with ancestors, or heroes explaining aspects of the natural world or, customs, or ideals of society. A popular belief or story, especially one considered to illustrate a cultural ideal. A fiction or half-truth, especially one that forms part of an ideology. A fictitious story, person, or thing. 3 Hero, noun A person who is admired for having done something very brave or having achieved something great. The main male character in a book or film who is usually good. A man who is admired for doing something extremely brave. The man or boy who is the main character in a book, film, play etc. A man who is admired very much for a particular skill or quality. A person [ ] who is admired by many people for doing something brave or good. The hero of a book, play, movie, or story is the main male character, who usually has good qualities. A hero is someone, who has done something brave, new, or good, and who is therefore greatly admired by a lot of people. In mythology and legend, a man, often of divine ancestry, who is endowed with great courage and strength, celebrated for his bold exploits, and favored by the gods. 4 Power, noun Ability to control people and events. The amount of political control a person or group has in a country. Strength. The ability or right to control people or events. The position of having political control of a country or government. The ability to influence people or give them strong feelings. The right or authority to do something. The ability to control people or things. Political control of a country or an area. The ability or opportunity to do something. If someone has power, they have a lot of control over people and activities. You power to do something is your ability to do it. If someone in authority has the power to do something, they have the legal right to do it. If people take power or come to power, they take charge of a country s affairs. The ability or capacity to act or do something effectively. The ability or official capacity to exercise control; authority. The ability to do something or act in a particular way, esp. as a faculty or quality. The capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events. All of the area in which everything exists, and in which everything has a position or direction. An area or a place that is empty or that is available for use. You use space to refer to an area that is empty or available. The area can be any size. A particular kind of space is the area that is available for a particular activity. An extent or expanse of a surface or three-dimensional area. A continuous area or expanse that is free, available, or unoccupied. The dimensions of height, depth, and width within which all things exist and move. Space, noun Room, scope. area, capacity, distance, field, location, territory, zone.

6 Exchange, noun When you give something to someone and you receive something from them. The act of giving someone something and receiving something else from them. When people discuss or share ideas, information etc. An act of giving something to somebody or doing something for somebody and receiving something in return. If two or more people exchange things or a particular kind, they give them to each other at the same time. An exchange is an arrangement in which people from two different countries visit each other s country, to strengthen links between them. The act or an instance of exchanging. A trade.
