8 A closer look on the organizational forms of business representation Interpretation Overall influence configuration Germany as a pluralist and consensus democratic system Business is influential, but these are also civil society organizations Japan appears rather as a statist systems Power-law (pareto) distribution of influence Business Positions In both countries have some business actors as much reputations as political parties Business associations are still more influential than individual corporations
