Reduce the risks and burden of communicable and noncommunicable diseases, domestic and social violence, and risks related to the environment and lifestyles

Promote scientific research, and health science and technology developments as well as the use/application of scientific evidence in public health policies 8. Strengthen nutrition and food security and reduce malnutrition with support from the region s specialized institution - the Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama (INCAP) 9. Establish mechanisms to increase coverage in the provision of safe drinking water and protect and improve the human environment, with support from the regional entity the Water and Sanitation Forum for Central America and the Dominican Republic (FOCARD-APS) 10. Reduce the vulnerability to natural disasters, anthropic emergencies, and the effects of climate change
