1 Colonial Times Students will be able to to: Describe the founding European colonies in America. Discuss the economic, government, religion, and cultural aspects of colonial life and explain the causes of the French and Indian War. How American colonists and Native Americans became involved in the clash between France and Spain. Be able to describe how England and France fought for control of North America. Date Lesson Hwk 9/19 & 9/20 85 minute 9/19 & 9/20 40 minute Constitution Day (we were gone for team challenge for Constitution day so we are celebrating today! WebQuest: 13 colonies Students will be able to explore the 13 colonies through the website: Students will work on answering 14 questions over the webquest. WebQuest is an interactive way to allow students to safely research and learn about the United States' Founding Father's. Students will be divided into groups based upon their selected Founding Father. Each student in the group will have a different element to research about the life of the Founding Father. Each group's goal is to go through the WebQuest and use the provided resources to compose a Facebook page about the life, contributions, and importance of their selected Founding Father. The article will summarize why this colonial webquest Students will work individually to familiarize themselves with the 13 colonies this will be turned in at the end of the class period. *9/19 colony project given Webquest Turned in at the end of the class period.
