- Iakovos Alhadeff The Israel-Lebanon War of 2006 and the Ceyhan-Haifa Pipeline By Iakovos Alhadeff Release Date : Genre : Politics & Current Affairs FIle Size : 0.65 MB is Politics & Current Affairs This booklet explains why the Israel Lebanon war of 2006 was just another war for oil and natural gas. It also explores the recent war of July 2014 in Gaza between Israel and Hamas, and explains how this war is also connected to natural gas. More by Iakovos Alhadeff Israel and Conspiracy Theories Iakovos Alhadeff There are many conspiracy theories about the creation of Israel. Many people believe that it was the Rothschilds and other Jewish bankers that caused the two world wars. They even believe that it was the Jews who supported Hitler, because they wanted the Jews of Europe to immigrate to Palestine and establish the state of Israel. These theories might sound very stupid to some, but there are many others who take them very seriously. And how can you blame them with so much propaganda around? This essay is a simple description of the forces that led to the creation of Israel. After reading this document, it will be apparent that it was exactly the same forces that led to the creation of the Arab states, that led to the creation of Israel too. The Russian Expeditions in Afghanistan and Syria: A Comparison 1979 and 2015 Iakovos Alhadeff A comparison between the Russian expeditions of Afghanistan and Syria in 1979 and The essay describes the Russian allies and enemies in each case, and explains why the situation in Syria is much easier than the one the Soviets were facing in 1979 in Afghanistan. Iran's Role in the Arab Spring of Libya Iakovos Alhadeff The present booklet examines two incidents of the Arab Spring. The Arab Spring of Oman and the Arab Spring of Libya. However the emphasis is on the Libyan Arab Spring, and the toppling of the Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi in Qaddafi was a very strongheaded dictator, and somehow he managed to bring everyone against him during the Arab Spring of Libya. The emphasis of the booklet is on why Iran, a traditional ally of Qaddafi, attacked Qaddafi during the Libyan Arab Spring. The Energy War Between U.S.A. and Russia and the Threat for Israel's Survival Created : By : Iakovos Alhadeff
- Iakovos Alhadeff Iakovos Alhadeff This essay describes the energy war between U.S.A. and Russia, the geopolitical changes generated by this war, and the resulting threats for the survival of the state of Israel. The Geopolitics of the Civil War of Shia Islam Iakovos Alhadeff Unlike the Sunni Muslim world, which has been very divided during the energy war that was given the code name Arab Spring, the Shia Muslims have been relatively united. But recently there are signs of cracks in the Shia camp too. Many Shia Muslims of Iraq are calling for a normalization with the Sunni world, and a breaking of ties with Iran, which is the main Shia power of the Muslim world. This essay examines the main factors that cause the cracks in the Shia camp. Iakovos Alhadeff This booklet explains why the Israel Lebanon war of 2006 was just another war for oil and natural gas. It also explores the recent war of July 2014 in Gaza between Israel and Hamas, and explains how this war is also connected to natural gas. USA Russia & China in the Middle East: Alliances & Conflicts Iakovos Alhadeff There is a rumor that it is very difficult to understand the Middle East. However this is not true. It is difficult to understand the Middle East only when the emphasis is not on oil and natural gas. If oil and natural gas are taken into account it is very easy to analyze the Middle East. Because the Middle East is simply a region where the local players are fighting to sell their oil and natural gas, and the foreign players are fighting to buy this oil and natural gas. It might sound naïve, but that s what the Middle East is about. It is only academics and specialists that need to know more about the Middle East. For the general reader who simply wants to understand the Middle East wars, oil and natural gas will do the trick. And that s what this booklet is about. It clearly explains how the US, Russia and China are trying to control the oil and natural gas of the Middle East, and how Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar and Iraq are trying to sell their oil and natural gas. After reading the booklet, the reader will know the exact causes of the wars in Syria, Iraq and Libya. No prior knowledge is required. The Socialist Myth of the Greedy Banker Iakovos Alhadeff There is a wide spread belief that it was the private banking sector that caused the current economic crisis. Greedy private bankers destabilized the economy, as socialists put it. At the same time, there are many conspiracy theories about central banks around. According to these theories, central banks are controlled by dark forces, and these forces caused the crisis of As a result, most people without a background in economics are very confused. However reality is much simpler than it seems to be. The purpose of this essay is to explain why the crisis of 2008 has nothing to do with the private banking sector, and also explain the role that central banks play in the economy. This document, together with The Socialist Myth of Economic Bubbles, should give the reader a good understanding of the current crisis, and why this crisis was the result of the wrong government policies in Europe, U.S.A. and China. Created : By : Iakovos Alhadeff
- Iakovos Alhadeff This essay follows the tradition of the great Austrian economists, like Ludwig von Mises, F. A. Hayek and Murray Rothbard. No prior economic knowledge is required on behalf of the reader. A genuine interest on the subject will suffice. The Al-Qaeda War Against France Iakovos Alhadeff France is fighting Al-Qaeda in Africa and France is fighting ISIS in France. The French intervention in Mali and the terrorist attacks in Paris and Nice were major events that will shape the years to come. Al-Qaeda in Africa was mainly supported by Iran and Sudan while ISIS was mainly supported by Turkey. This essay explains the economic underpinnings of these wars. The War for the Oil of Libya: Iakovos Alhadeff Libya is the richest African country in oil reserves and one of the richest in the world. The following seven chapters are independent essays that were written on different dates, and therefore you should not expect some kind of connection between the chapters. On the other hand all chapters deal with same issue, i.e. the Libyan energy industry, her foreign policies, and her wars for oil, and therefore they are somehow connected. Oil Wars Iakovos Alhadeff This booklet describes various incidents of oil and natural gas wars between different countries. There is no connection between the booklet's chapters. Each chapter was written as an independent short essay. The Financing of Hollywood's Socialist Propaganda Iakovos Alhadeff It is a well known fact that Holywood is leaning towards socialism. However the financing of this Hollywood socialist propaganda is rarely discussed. The last few years saw some socialist movies like The Wolf of Wall Street, The Promised Land, The Big Short becoming major box office success stories. The question is who is financing this socialist propaganda in the United States, and that s what this essay is about. The Socialist Myth of Economic Monopoly Iakovos Alhadeff A very common socialist claim is that the free market leads to economic monopolies, and it is the governments duty to protect consumers from unreasonably high prices set by monopolists. The purpose of this essay is to explain in simple words, why consumers should not be protected from the market, but rather from state monopolies. Consumers must not be protected from Microsoft and Facebook, but they should be protected from public utilities, or any other state monopolies. This document follows the tradition of the great Austrian economists like Ludwig von Mises, F.A. Hayek and Murray Rothbard. No prior knowledge of economics is required. A genuine interest on the subject will suffice. The Crisis in the American-Turkish Relations: The Creation of an Independent Kurdistan Iakovos Alhadeff Turkey has been a prominent NATO member, and a traditional US ally for many Created : By : Iakovos Alhadeff
- Iakovos Alhadeff years. However the shift in the US energy policy in the Middle East, and more specifically its rapprochement with Iran, does not help Turkey to become the absolute energy hub between the Middle East and Europe, which is her main objective, in order to overcome her lack of energy resources, and in order to increase her geostrategic significance in the international arena. This booklet explains the crisis in the American-Turkish relations over Syria and Iran, and it explains why this crisis is a crisis over contradicting oil and natural gas interests. American Politics in the Age of Oil: The Bernie Sanders Phenomenon Iakovos Alhadeff This essay explains the rise of a socialist politician in the United States, i.e. Bernie Sanders, and how his rise is related to the American energy companies. How Putin and Assad Created the Islamic State Iakovos Alhadeff Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-assad needed a monster in order to keep Syria under their control, when in 2011 Turkey and Qatar used the Muslim Brotherhood to cause a regime change. It turns out that this monster was the Islamic State, which was the successor of Al-Qaeda of Iraq, which was established by the Arabs and the Iranians in 2003 in order to attack the Americans who had overturned Saddam Hussein. The Geopolitics of Energy & Terrorism Part 1 and so do economic interest. Therefore what is more important for the reader is to have an idea of the global resources i.e. oil and natural gas in my essays, because global resources change at a much lower pace than economic interests and economic alliances. The Intra-Arab War for Oil: Iakovos Alhadeff Egypt is the largest and most important country of the Arab world. However Egypt is very poor in oil and natural gas reserves, at least when compared to the other Arab countries of the Persian Gulf and North Africa. In the 1950s and 1960s, Gamal Nasser, an Egyptian military officer, tried to unite all Arabs in one country, under his leadership, in order for Egypt to control the oil of the Persian Gulf. This essay briefly describes Nasser s efforts in the 50s and 60s, which led to a cold war between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, until Nasser s death in Created : By : Iakovos Alhadeff
- Iakovos Alhadeff Russia vs Turkey: The Geopolitics of the South & the Turk Stream Pipelines Iakovos Alhadeff This long essay is the second part of a series, with the first part being USA Russia & China in the Middle East: Alliances & Conflicts. Over 80 maps are used to explain the energy war between Russia and Turkey, two countries that have been fighting for regional dominance for many centuries. Today, the main geographical locations of their conflicts are the regions of Central Asia and East Mediterranean Sea. Both Central Asia and the East Mediterranean Sea are of strategic importance for the connection of Europe to the oil and natural gas reserves of the Caspian Sea and the Middle East. This essay examines in great detail the relations of both Russia and Turkey with the countries of these regions. The First World War for Oil : Similarities with the 2014 Oil Wars 100 Later Iakovos Alhadeff This booklet explains why oil was the real cause of the First World War, and explains the economic and geopolitical interests behind all the major players of this war. Moreover it compares the first Great War for oil in 1914 with the oil wars of 2014 in Syria and Iraq one hundred years later. The Geopolitics of Energy & Terrorism Part 5 and so do economic interest. Therefore what is more important for the reader is to have an idea of the global resources i.e. oil and natural gas in my essays, because global resources change at a much lower pace than economic interests and economic alliances. The Socialist Myth of Economic Bubbles Iakovos Alhadeff There is a wide spread belief that asset bubbles, like housing bubbles, are the result of the free market. Socialists claim that excessive risk taking on behalf of the banks, together with a lack of regulation, or even a wave of deregulation, caused the crisis of However this is simply socialist propaganda and it does not even have the slightest element of truth. Asset bubbles arise when the peoples savings are misallocated, and the reason they are misallocated is always government intervention. This essay follows the tradition of the great Austrian economists, and demonstrates in a not technical way, how government intervention leads to savings misallocation, which in turn leads to asset bubbles. 6 - Iakovos Alhadeff And depressions are simply the aftermath of the bubbles collapse. The basics of the crises mechanics are always the same. There are no major differences between 2008 and 1929 as this document clearly shows. This is a very simple document that does not require any prior economic knowledge on behalf of the reader. A genuine interest on the subject will suffice. The Geopolitics of Energy & Terrorism Part 2 and so do economic interest. Therefore what is more important for the reader is to have an idea of the global resources i.e. oil and natural gas in my essays, because global resources change at a much lower pace than economic interests and economic alliances. The Geopolitics of Energy & Terrorism Part 9 Iakovos Alhadeff The following chapters are independent essays written in May, June and July 2016, and they can be read in any order. The wars for the global resources of oil and natural gas are the topic of most essays. To a large extent, the wars of the 20th and 21st centuries were the result of energy rich countries competing to secure their exports, or the result of energy poor countries competing to secure their access to energy resources. Many episodes of the energy wars of the 20th and 21st centuries are described in the following essays. I.A. The True Causes of Greek Anti-Semitism Iakovos Alhadeff This essay explores the true causes of anti-semitism. Anti-Semitism is alwasy a financial phenomenon, and the essay examines the interaction betweeen the Greek political and economic elites with the Arab world, and explains how this interaction affects Greek anti-semitism. The Battle for Caspian Oil During World Wars Iakovos Alhadeff A very short essay with the the battles for the Caspian oil during World Wars, but also during more recent wars of attrition Introduction to Bank Recapitalization Iakovos Alhadeff This essay explains in very simple words the problems encountered by banks during periods of severe economic crises, like the crises of 1929 and of Moreover the document describes the means that banks have at their disposal to combat such crises. This is a non technical document and does not assume any prior knowledge on behalf of the reader. A genuine interest will suffice. After reading this essay, the reader will have an understanding of banking crises. What they are and what can be done about them. The Architects of Al-Qaeda and ISIS Iakovos Alhadeff A brief summary of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979, of the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, and how these historic events were related to terrorism, and more specifically to Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State. The Wars for the Silk Roads Iakovos Alhadeff The Silk Roads are the trade routes that connect Asia with Europe and Africa since the ancient times. Due to their importance of the Silk Roads for trade there were many wars for their control over the centuries. The following chapters refer to some of these wars. Each chapter is and independent essay, which was written at different date, and therefore the booklet s chapters can be written in any order. A Summary of the Wars of the 21st Century Iakovos Alhadeff A summary of the major wars of the 21st Century. Wars included are the war of Iraq, the war of Afghanistan, the war of Syria, the war of Libya, the civil war of Ukraine, and the war of Kurdistan. The Discreet Charm of the Islamic Caliphate Iakovos Alhadeff The modern father of the idea of an Islamic Caliphate was the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). And even though ISIS is retreating in Iraq and Syria, due to the NATO bombings, the idea of an Islamic State is becoming more and more popular in the Muslim world. More and more terrorist groups pledge their allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syira. This essay examines the paradox of a shrinking Islamic State in Iraq and Syria with a rising popularity. Al-Qaeda as a Business Iakovos Alhadeff Terrorist organizations are always created to promote the interests of various countries, most of the time their interests in the oil and natural gas industries. This essay explains why Al-Qaeda is a business, which is actually true for all terrorist groups. I.A.
