2 GLOBAL GOOD GOVERNANCE AWARDS 2017 GLOBAL GOOD GOVERNANCE AWARDS 2017 INTRODUCTION The awards are based on a proprietary methodology 3G Methodology - which is developed by Cambridge IF Analytica. The 2017 Awards Ceremony is planned to take place in Dubai, UAE in April From the four nominations in each category, the winner will be selected by a global poll. Global Good Governance Awards 3G Awards are presented to governments, corporates and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for excellence in transparency, good governance and social responsibility. 3G METHODOLOGY Global Good Governance Awards 3G Awards are based on a proprietary methodology 3G Methodology developed by Cambridge IF Analytica 3G Methodology is based on a score card called 3G Card. From the four nominations in each category, the winner will be selected by a global poll 3G Card has five pillars: Transparency commitment to operate ethically and legally, with integrity, transparency and accountability. Social Responsibility promote best practices in social responsibility, economic viability, and environmental stewardship. Sustainability promote sustainable practices and initiatives that embrace the triple bottom line: economics, social equity and environment. Impact initiatives or contributions resulted in improved outcomes to community or industry or country. Innovation development of new ideas, practices, or products that promote and/or improve business practices in the realm of governance. In order to maintain the highest standards of integrity, nominations are subject to multiple levels of independent review by a Selection Committee consisting of eminent personalities drawn from Government, Industry and the Academia. 3G AWARDS STREAMS and rewards outstanding government who has exhibited exceptional leadership in the area of governance in all 5 pillars transparency, social responsibility, sustainability, impact and innovation. (7) 3G Best Public Sector Reforms Programme The award recognises excellent in public reform initiatives that has significantly improved the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery and customer satisfaction. (5) (6) 3G Politician of the Year Award This award honors an individual who has made a significant impact in promoting ethical values and putting people and planet first. 3G Best Public Sector Initiative/Programme The award recognises excellence in the delivery of public services through programmes to improve quality, cost-effectiveness or productivity of services to the public. (8) (9) 3G Upcoming Personality in This award is presented to an outstanding public sector official or politician who is a great advocate of transparency, governance and/or social responsibility. 3G Civil Service Award The award celebrates inspirational individual or innovative project within the civil service that has transformed professionalism and promote good governance of public service. (10) (11) Government and Politics for Government and Politics (to be presented to a Head of Government or State) for (to be presented to a global corporate) for (to be presented to an international not for profit organisation or body) a public sector institution that has adopted social media in promoting good governance and transparency that can strengthen citizen goodwill. 3G Best Governance Reporting Award This award honors a public sector institution that has demonstrated strong commitment to good governance culture and open reporting including detailed overview of its performance and of its excellent approach to stakeholder management.

(2) 3G CSR Award This award honors successfully integrated CSR issues into everyday business practices including the quality, consistency, robustness and clarity of the CSR programmes and reporting. Nominees will also be judged on the overall understanding of the short and long-term role the organisation plays in all the communities and environments in which it operates. This award honors excellence in the development of society through exceptional generosity and long-term commitment of time, expertise and financial or organizational support. (2) (3) 3G Transparency Award nonprofit organisation with the most rigorous and transparent reporting on financials, governance and strategy. 3G Philanthropy Award nonprofit set best practice benchmarks in promoting the spirit of giving and contributed towards sustainable social change. (4) 3G Advocacy Award one outstanding advocacy activity or programme created and implemented by a non-profit organisation with an emphasis on people and planet. (5) (6) 3G Women Empowerment Award This award will be given to non-profit organisation that has implemented programmes committed to women s empowerment and welfare in terms of gender equality and economic improvements. 3G Children Welfare Award nonprofit made substantial contribution to the educational, psychological, intellectual or physical growth of children. (6) 3G Product Excellence Award product or service that has created positive impact to societies while contributing positively to the organisation s bottom line. (7) (8) 3G Diversity Award This award honours made tangible steps to promote diversity including the establishment and implementation of diversity policies; and measurement and reporting on diversity goals. 3G Corporate Governance Disclosure Award demonstrated efforts in promoting corporate governance and raising the bar for corporate stewardship, as disclosed in its annual report. (7) 3G Education Award This award honors initiative for improving the quality of and access to education that enhances the well-being of people from all walks of life, and promote education as a lifelong process with sustainable and long term benefits. (8) (9) 3G Capacity Building Award non-profit organisation that has demonstrated capacity building innovation or impact in areas such as governance, social responsibility, and sustainability. 3G Social Innovation Award nonprofit implemented ground-breaking strategies and programmes that drive social responsibility and innovation. (9) (10) (11) 3G Environmental Responsibility Award organisation s efforts to incorporate the concept of environmental protection into its business operations and in imparting the best environmental responsibility practices. 3G Centre of Excellence Award in the role played by an institution in the promotion and facilitation of best practices as well as providing cutting edge thought leadership in corporate governance. This award celebrates adopted social media in promoting good governance. (10) (11) (12) 3G Promotion of Corporate Governance Award a non profit organisation that has demonstrated efforts in promoting transparency and good governance, as disclosed in its annual report This award celebrates nonprofit adopted social media in promoting transparency and social responsibility. 3G Diversity Award This award honours nonprofit organisation that has made tangible steps to promote diversity including the establishment and implementation of diversity policies; and measurement and reporting on diversity goals.

4 GLOBAL GOOD GOVERNANCE AWARDS 2016 A total of 23 awards were presented to individuals and organisations from all over the world, with the top award given to Her Royal Highness Dr Sheikha Aisha bint Faleh bin Nasser Al-Thani, for her leading role in philanthropy. Her Excellency Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Honorable Prime Ministers of Malaysia, was amongst the guest of honour that night. She received the 3G Children Welfare Award 2016 on behalf of PERMATA, a talent search and development for children programme which she founded back in Other winners included Novo Nordisk for 3G CSR Award, MUSIAD for 3G Advocacy Award, PEMANDU for 3G Best Public Sector Reforms Programme, Agrobank for 3G Financial Services Award, World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis (WCOP) for 3G Diversity Award for Social Sector, Arlanda Express for 3G Diversity Awards for Corporate Sector, Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia for 3G Women Empowerment Award and Islamic Development Bank for 3G Capacity Building Award. In the education categories, winners included Eastern Public School for 3G Education Award, Higher Education Commission Pakistan for 3G Excellence in Higher Education Award, Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies UiTM for 3G Critics Choice Good Governance Award in Education, and Taleem Foundation for 3G Critics Choice Literacy and Female Education Award. Two individual awards were presented to honour and recognise leading individuals in their relentless efforts to promote and uphold good governance and transparency. Professor Mehmet Bulut, President of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, received the 3G Special Award for Service to Higher Education.
