Statistics suggest that Pakistan is only notch above poorest countries. It is because of high poverty rate, low literacy rate, poor infrastructure and outdated agriculture technology, lack of industrialization, wide trade gap, poor healthcare system and low standard of living etc. If we give an insight into the macro economic situation of Pakistan than it is observed that its economy is still dependent on IMF, World Bank and foreign donations. Majority of the population is living in rural areas without basic necessities of life. It is a country where financial gap between rich and poor is widening day by day. Almost every kind of problem exists in Pakistan, including electricity load-shedding, bad economy, less educational facilities, less

2 hospitals, inflation and no pure water in many parts. These problems exist in Pakistan right from its independence. Now Pakistan is undergoing an economic transformation that can place it well among the ranks of emerging market economies. But Strong growth demands attention for firm planning and consistency in policy implementation that always remained low priority area for the decision makers for unknown reasons. But this is an important time A Moment of Opportunity for Pakistan and the spark to continue transforming Pakistan s economy into a dynamic, vibrant, and integrated emerging market that is able to create sustainable jobs and prosperity for all exists among Pakistan s people and policymakers. This conference intends to highlight the serious and emerging macro-economic issues in Pakistan. Through this conference policies will be proposed that how can Pakistan overcome these serious macro-economic problems and achieve a sustainable growth. Further this conference will provide a platform and opportunities to academicians, practitioners and policy makers affiliated with various institutions to discuss and exchange ideas and push the frontier of knowledge. 3 EMIP request authors, researchers, intellectuals for full presentation, brief paper presentation and discussion sessions. We solicit papers on any aspects of recent theoretical and empirical developments in macroeconomics and financial economics, especially those that relate to: Macroeconomic policies in a changing global and domestic scenario, especially under CPEC. Financial liberalization, business opportunities and human capital nexus with economic growth. Governance, institutional reforms & public sector policies for achieving sustained inclusive growth Fiscal decentralization & implications for socio economic development Balance of payment, debt crises & their implications for macro economy Public sector policies for industrial development & international trade Remittances, Poverty, inequality & economic growth Guidelines for Authors Text of manuscript should be arranged in the following order: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Body Text, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements and References. Title: Title should be short and explanatory enough. Abstract: Abstract should be of no more than 200 words for brief reports and 250 words for original articles and other article types. The abstract should be structured for original articles. State the context (background), aims, settings and design, material and methods, statistical analysis used, results and conclusions. Below the abstract should provide 5 to 8 keywords. The abstract should not be structured for a brief report, review article, symposia and research methodology. Do not include references in abstract. Introduction: Introduction should lead the reader to the importance of the study; tie-up published literature with the aims of the study and clearly states the rationale behind the investigation. It should state the purpose and summarize the rationale for the study and gives a concise background. Use references to provide the most salient background rather than an exhaustive review. The last sentence should concisely state your purpose for carrying out the study.

4 Body Text: It should be elaborative enough to explain all the procedures, methods, observations and data. Use heading and subheading and references wherever needed. Result and discussion: It is preferred to discuss all the results in detail in case of original research paper. To explain observed data you can use figures, graphs and tables. Conclusion: A conclusion might elaborate on the importance of the work or suggest applications and extensions. Page Style and Text Font of Entire Document The entire document should be in Times New Roman or Times font. For page style author should use the sample paper (template), attached herewith this guideline. Title and Author Details Title and authors details should be provided in the format given in sample paper (template).
