The assistance package would cover, inter-alia training of officers, financial assistance particularly in the purchase of appropriate software. Moreover, the US Treasury officials have also 5 Assistance in place (bilateral/plurilateral/multilateral) Technical Assistance was sought by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to finalise legislation for the prevention of money laundering and to combat financing of terrorism.
