Alejo Ruiz Mendoza, 30, of Mt. Misery Road in Leland is charged with first degree sex offense with a child and indecent liberties with a child. Mendoza was arrested late yesterday evening at the Brunswick County Detention Facility where he was being held for a separate incident. Mendoza remains in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under at $205,000 bond. 6 Cumberland County men charged with prostituting minors Six Cumberland County men were charged with prostituting minors after a human trafficking investigation called "Operation Save Our Children 2015" was conducted in the county. Sheriff's detectives are canvassing areas throughout Cumberland County, following the recent publication of national statistics saying children as young as 12 are being targeted by sexual predators, a news release today from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said. Alexis Santos, 18, of 4500 Dudley Road; Jerome Knapp, 41, of the 1400 block of Mercury Court; James Daniel Bradford, 26, of the 1000 block of Glen Reilly Drive; Reginald Bateau, 32, of the 5400 block of Basking Ridge Drive; Charles Ray Moore, 50, of the 6900 block of Beulah Hill Church Road in West End; and Roberto Carlo Morales-Rivera, 30, of the 3300 block of East Elizabethtown Road in Lumberton were charged Thursday with soliciting a minor child for the purpose of prostitution. Burlington man accused of sexually assaulting 12-year-old girl BURLINGTON, N.C. A man is in custody accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. Jose Romon Corea, 33, of Burlington, is charged with first-degree statutory rape.

2 On Wednesday, Burlington police were notified by the Alamance County Department of Social Services that their office was investigating an incident involving a situation where a 12-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted. Investigators determined that the sexual assault occurred between January and March of Corea was taken into custody and placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond. Concord teen charged with sex crimes af48-efdd3f1a3ec6.html CONCORD, N.C. -- Police say a 17-year-old Concord resident committed sex crimes with at least three children. Edgar Antonio Montes-Torres, 17, of Robbins Street SW, Concord, was arrested at his home Tuesday and charged with three counts of taking indecent liberties with children. He was given a $100,000 bond. The nature of charges means the alleged victims were less than 12 years old, according to North Carolina General Statutes. Police say the crimes were reported on Feb. 28, but occurred on separate occasions. CPD is investigating more potential victims. Statesville sexual assault suspect arrested The man wanted for sexually assaulting the child of a former friend is now in custody and is facing additional charges. Antonio Torres Ibarra, 40, was charged with first-degree sexual offense, taking indecent liberties with a minor, first-degree kidnapping and delivering a controlled substance to a minor less than 13 years of age. Bond was set at $350,000. Sgt. Scott Reed, supervisor of the Statesville Police Department s Criminal Investigations Division, said Ibarra turned himself in Thursday on the charges, which stemmed from an investigation launched Monday. Officers responded to a call from Iredell Memorial Hospital reporting the possible sexual assault of a child. The girl, who is under age 12, said she was assaulted on Sunday night by a former friend of her mother s, police said. The girl was interviewed at the Dove House Child Advocacy Center and disclosed the sexual assault, Reed said. Warrants for two counts of first-degree sexual offense with a child under 13 years of age were issued, and the additional charges stemming from the same incident were filed Thursday.

3 Man arrested on sex offense charge a77ee7d1c056.html A Morganton man was arrested Monday and charged with felony statutory rape/sex offense of a victim more than six years younger than him. Ricardo Solis Garcia, 27, of 105 Hollar St. Apt. C, was stopped by the Morganton Department of Public Safety on Monday evening and arrested on the above charge, as well as misdemeanor no operator s license, according to police and court documents. Investigators believe Garcia had sex with a 13-year-old girl, according to the arrest warrant. He was transported to Burke-Catawba jail and placed under a $100,000 secured bond. He had a first appearance in court on Tuesday. Triad Man Accused Of Indecent Liberties With 11-Year-Old ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. -- An Alamance County man is in custody after being accused of taking indecent liberties with an 11-year-old girl. The Alamance County Sheriff's Office said it responded to a sexual assault on a child call Saturday at a residence on East Simpson Road in Burlington. After an investigation, deputies said they issued a warrant for Juan Antonio Dionicio, 43, of Burlington. He is facing charges of Indecent Liberties with a Child, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, and a 2007 order for arrest for Drinking With Driving. Dionicio is currently in the Alamance County Detention Center under a $41,000 secured bond. Raleigh man accused of sex offenses with three children A Raleigh man is accused of felony offenses involving three children. Javier Antonio Reyes-Jaimes, 20, was arrested Saturday afternoon on two charges of indecent liberties with a child and one charge of first-degree sex offense with a child, an arrest warrant states. Reyes-Jaimes, whose listed address is 812 Whitmore Drive, is accused of committing a lewd and lascivious act upon the bodies of an 8-year-old and a 4-year-old child, the warrant states. Police also suspect he did engage in a sex offense with another 4-year-old child, the warrant states. The alleged crimes are reported to have occurred between December 2013 and April 2014, The warrant states. Reyes-Jaimes was held Sunday at the Wake County Detention Center on $150,000 bond, according to county records.
