IDBI Bank Ltd. invites Tender in the prescribed format for supply and installation of MS slotted angle racks in the basement of Bank s CPU at 90, Sarju House, MIDC, Andheri (E), Mumbai. 2. Manufacturers/Dealers/Vendors who fulfill the following requirements shall be eligible to apply. i) Average Annual Turnover during the last 3 years ending March 31, 2013 should be 4.80 Lakhs/p.a ii) Experience of having successfully completed similar works during the last 7 years ending March 31, 2013; Three similar completed works costing not less than Rs Lakhs or Two similar completed works costing not less than 8.0 Lakhs or One similar completed work costing not less than Lakhs (iii) Similar work means, Parent Manufacturers / Authorized Dealer/Vendors who have carried out the work of supply and installation of MS slotted angle racks or any other similar type of MS storage systems works. (iv)parent Manufacturers / Authorized Dealer/Vendors should indicate the location of Factory with details of the machinery and QC equipment should be submitted. (v) Parent Manufacturers/Authorized Dealer should submit their PAN/TIN, Excise Registration Number. vi) Authorized Dealer/Vendor should submit Authorization Certificate from the original Manufacturers. vii) The above works done for Banks, Financial Institutions, Govt./Semi Govt. 3 -2- Desirous Manufacturers/ Authorized Dealer/Vendors may download the Tender document from our website or can be collected from our Head Office at IDBI Tower, Cuffe parade from June 5, 2013 to June 18, 2013 during Bank s working days and working hours. Manufacturers/ Authorized Dealer/Vendors who satisfy the above eligibility criteria submit the Tender duly supported by prescribed Annexures and an EMD of Rs.25,000/- shall be enclosed in a Sealed Envelope No 1, duly super scribed with the name of work. The Sealed Envelope No.2 shall contain only the Price Bid in the prescribed format. The last date for submission of Tender is June 19, 2013 by 3.00 pm. If any information furnished by the applicant is found incorrect at a later stage, he shall be liable to be debarred from tendering / taking up of work in IDBI Bank Ltd. The Bank reserves the right to verify the particulars furnished by the applicant independently. The Bank also reserves the right to reject any prospective application without assigning any reason and to restrict the list to any number deemed suitable by it, if too many applications are received satisfying the basic pre-qualification criteria. 7 FIMD. /Slotted Angle Racks/CPU June 5, 2013 NOTICE INVITING TENDER Supply & Installation of MS Slotted Angle Racks in the Basement of Bank s CPU at 90, Sarju House, MIDC, Andheri(E), Mumbai Sealed tenders are invited for Supply & Installation of MS Slotted Angle Racks in the Basement of Bank s CPU at 90, Sarju House, MIDC, Andheri (E), Mumbai. The offer shall be submitted in two envelopes. The content of the envelopes shall be as follows: Envelop No.1: EMD, General Conditions of Contract, the Technical requirements, Drawings, and Specification of slotted angle racks for storage. Envelop No.2: Only Price Bid. Envelop No.1: Shall be opened at 1530 Hrs on June 19, 2013 in the presence of bidders authorized representatives who may be present at the time of opening. Envelop No.2: Those bids satisfying the criteria in Envelop No.1 & eligibility criteria will be opened after evaluating the credentials and assessing the conditions, if any, submitted by the bidders. Envelopes No. 2 of those contractors, who have furnished EMD together with detailed specifications & Drawings thereof in Envelope 1, as specified and which satisfy the specifications mentioned in the BOQ & who satisfy the eligibility criteria shall be opened. Before opening the Envelop No.2, the Bank shall notify the bidders its decision on the condition(s), if any submitted by the bidders. Date of opening of Envelop No.2 shall be intimated to the bidders to enable them to be present. Envelope-2 of others, who have not furnished EMD, not meeting the criteria as specified and which does not satisfy the specifications mentioned in the BOQ & eligibility criteria shall be rejected and Envelope No.2 of such bidder will not be opened and will be returned in unopened condition in due course. 2. The work has to be executed in the basement area as directed and shall be undertaken after obtaining prior approval of the time schedule from the Office. The supply and installation shall be carried out within 30 days time from the date of placement of order. The quoted rates shall be valid for a period of three months from the last date of submission of Tender or can be extended further at mutual consent. 3. The tender documents comprising of Form of Tender, Form of Agreement, Conditions of Contract, Technical Specifications and Schedule of Quantities may be down loaded from our Bank s site or can be collected from Bank s office at IDBI Tower, 4 th floor, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai from June 5, 2013 to June 18, 2013 during Bank s working days and working hours. 4. The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) amounting to Rs.25, 000/- (Rupees Twenty Five thousand only) must accompany each tender in the form of NEFT/RTGS payment to current account no , IFSC Code IBKL Any tender not accompanied by the Earnest Money Deposit shall be liable for rejection. EMD shall not bear any interest and this amount shall be forfeited in the event of any invasion, refusal or delay on the part of the tenderer to sign and execute the contract, in case his tender is accepted. The EMD shall be returned on the non-acceptance of the tender three months after the last date fixed for receiving tenders or such earlier time as the tender may have been accepted by IDBI Bank Ltd. 6

8 NOTICE INVITING TENDER 5. The Tender amount is to be inserted in words as well as in figures in the space provided and in case of discrepancies between prices written in words and prices written in figures, the prices written in the words shall be considered to be correct. 6. The validity of the tender should be 3 months from the date of opening of the tender and can be extended further on mutual consent. 7. Sealed tenders in the prescribed format (The Envelope-1 & Envelope-2 shall both together be enclosed in a separate Envelope, superscribed with the name of work) shall be dropped only in the tender box kept on 4 th Floor IDBI Tower, Cuffe Parade, WTC Complex, Mumbai on or before hours on June 19, 2013 in a sealed cover addressed to the The Deputy General Manager (FIMD), IDBI Bank Limited, IDBI Tower, 4th Floor, Cuffe Parade, Bombay (Under no circumstances, tender should be sent by Courier/Post or to be handed over in person). The Part 1 of the tender will be opened on the same day at Hrs. in the presence of the bidders who wish to be present. 8. The tenderers shall submit their offers strictly in accordance with the terms & conditions of the Tender document. Any tender that stipulates conditions contrary to the conditions given in the tender document is liable for rejection. 9. The contractor shall quote his rate to include the cost of materials as per specification/boq, painting, tying material, necessary wastage, labour, other materials, VAT, local body tax, sales tax, excise duty, service tax, Octroi, works contract tax & turnover Tax, transportation to work site, Insurance, entry tax, way bills & road permits, loading unloading, shifting of material to basement, all other taxes as applicable etc. all inclusive 10. 9 IDBI Bank Limited INSTRUCTIONS FOR TENDERING 1. Before tendering the Tenderers are requested to visit the site and also carefully examine the Tender Documents, Conditions of Contract, Specifications, the schedules and the Schedule of Quantities, and if there should be or appear to be any ambiguity in or discrepancy between any of these documents they should immediately refer the matter to IDBI Bank Ltd., for clarification. 2. Time is the essence of the contract and the works must be completed within the time schedule as indicated in the Appendix to form of Tender. Any tender which disagrees with the time schedule of completion and stipulates a longer period is liable to be rejected. 3. Access to the Site will be given during the Tender period by appointment on application to The Deputy General Manager, FIMD, Mumbai. The tenderer shall ascertain the location, size and condition of the areas available for his use as working areas and all other information affecting his Tender. 4.(i) The Tenderer shall complete the annexed form of Tender, Schedules and Bill of Quantities with the whole of the prices and information called for therein, and shall sign and date each of the documents in the space provided for the purpose. The Tenderer shall initial each page of the Tender Document. (ii) The Tender shall be signed by a person or persons so authorised by the Tenderer with signature duly witnessed. In the case of a corporation, the Tender shall be signed by the officer so authorised by the corporation with its seal duly affixed. In case of a consortium, the Tender shall be signed by the officer so authorised by each corporate member of the consortium and the Tender shall be affixed with the corporation seals of each member of the consortium. (iii) The Tender shall contain an address, Tel. No. and Fax No., ID for serving notices required to be served to the Tenderer in connection with the Tender. 5. The Tender Form and the documents attached to it shall not be detached one from the other and no alteration or mutilation (other than filling in all the blank spaces) shall be made in any of the documents attached hereto. Any alterations or changes to the entries in the attached documents shall be made by a separate covering letter otherwise it shall not be entertained. 6. The Tender shall accompany the following information & schedules: a) Earnest money of the required amount in the form of payment mode indicated on page no Each Tenderer will be issued with one copy of Conditions of Contract, Form of Tender, Form of Agreement, Specifications and Schedule of Quantities. 8

The Bank will not be responsible and will not pay for expenses which may have been incurred, or losses to person or property suffered by any Tenderer in connection with visits to and examination of the site and in the preparation of his tender for submission. 9. The Tenderer (whether or not he submits a tender) shall treat the details of the documents as secret and confidential. 10. The Bank reserves the right to adjust arithmetical or other errors in any Tender in the way that he considers suitable. Any adjustments so made by the Bank shall be stated to the Tenderer if the Bank makes an offer to accept his Tender. 11. The Bank does not bind himself to accept the lowest or any Tender and has the right to refuse any Tender without assigning any reason. The Bank also has right to re-issue the Tender without Tenderers having right to object against such re-issue. 12. Having visited the site and examined the Conditions of Contract, Specifications and Schedule of Quantities for the above named works, we offer to undertake and complete the whole of the subject work in conformity with the said Conditions of Contract, Specifications and Schedule of Quantities for the sum stated in Schedule of Quantities of this Tender Document or such other sum as may be ascertained in accordance with the said conditions of contract. 2. We undertake to complete and deliver the whole of the works comprised in the contract within the time stated in Appendix hereto. 3. We have independently considered the amount of liquidated damages shown in the Appendix hereto and agree that it represents a fair estimate of the loss likely to be suffered by you in the event of the works not being completed in time. 4. If our Tender is accepted, we will, remit the initial security deposit by demand draft or obtain a guarantee from a Scheduled Bank to be jointly and severally bound by us for the sum named in Appendix hereto for initial security deposit. Third party insurance policy shall also be obtained from an Insurance company approved by you. 5. We agree to abide by this Tender for the period of three months from the date fixed for receiving the same or agreed extended period and it shall remain binding upon us and may be accepted at any time before the expiry of the period. 6. Unless and until a formal Agreement is prepared and executed, this tender together with your written acceptance thereof shall constitute a binding contract between us. 7. We understand that if our Tender is accepted, we are to be jointly and severally responsible for the due performance of the Contract. 10

13 FORM OF AGREEMENT Articles of agreement made at Mumbai this... day of.. between IDBI Bank Ltd., a Company constituted under the Companies Act, 1956 and having it's Regd. Office at IDBI Tower, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai herein after called the "Owner" (which expression shall include its successors and assignors wherever the context or meaning shall so required or permit) of the one part and M/s.... hereinafter called the "The Contractor" of the other part. Where as the Owner is desirous of getting done the Work of... AND WHEREAS the Contractor has agreed to execute the work and subject to the conditions and instructions set forth herein and to the conditions set forth in the Schedule of Quantities and General Conditions of contract (all of which are collectively hereinafter referred to as the said conditions) the works described in the said specifications and included in the said Schedule of Quantities at the respective rates therein set forth amounting to Rs. The said Conditions and Appendix thereto shall be read and construed as forming part of this Agreement and the parties hereto shall abide by and submit themselves to the conditions and perform the Agreement on their part respectively in such conditions contained. 4. All disputes arising out of or in any way connected with this agreement shall be deemed to have arisen in Mumbai and only the Courts in Mumbai shall have jurisdiction to determine the same. Necessary corrections, if any, arising out of corrigenda clarifications issued before opening of tender have been made in these documents. APPENDIX TO FORM OF TENDER a) Earnest Money Deposit Rs.25,000/-(Rupees Twenty Five thousand only) b) Initial Security Deposit The EMD will be converted into initial Security Deposit till the completion of the job. c) Time of Completion 30 days from the date of placement of order. The quoted rates shall be valid for a period of Three months from the last date of submission of Tender or can be extended further at mutual consent. d) Amount of Liquidated 0.5 %(zero point five percent) Damages for delay of the final contract value per week or part thereof subject to a ceiling of 10% of final contract value. e) Defect liability period 6 months from the date of satisfactory Installation f) Retention amount Initial security deposit would be released along with the final bill. 5% (five) of value of the work shall be released only after expiry of defect liability period, in case no defects are found and the defects found are rectified satisfactorily. Technical Specifications a) Slotted Angles: 40mm X 40mm of 14 Gauge. b) Shelves: Size: 900mm X 450mm of 20 Gauge. Shelves shall be made of 20 Guage CRCA steel conforming to relevant IS code. Its load bearing capacity is 50 Kg UDL per shelf. c) At locations, for any change in the size of slotted angle rack due to site conditions, payment shall be made on prorata basis based on the actual size of slotted angle rack provided. d) Grade of Steel: CRCA Sheet Steel conforming to relevant IS Code. e) Painting finish: The bodies including shelves should be given antirust surface treatment & should be powder coated with epoxy powder. The thickness of power coating should be 40 microns. The testing of paint should be done for various physical & chemical properties as per IS: 101. The colour scheme shall be Dark Grey Shade or as directed. f) Corner Plates: 81mm X 81mm X 16 gauge. g) Plastic/ Rubber/ Neoprene Shoes: Desirable of good quality. h) Nut & Bolts: MS Chrome/ Galvanised with minimum 30 microns.
