1 AYYKUVED AYK1L 1/, ZU14 11r;M WZa BOCC FIRST AMENDMENT TO INTERLOCAL CONTRACT Between DOUGLAS COUNTY, NEVADA And CITY OF SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, Douglas County is a political subdivision the State Nevada; and WHEREAS, City South Lake Tahoe is a political subdivision the State Califnia; and WHEREAS, Douglas County and City South Lake Tahoe previously entered into an Interlocal Contract relating to the parties mutually shared law enfcement activities and services, a true and crect copy which is attached hereto as Exhibit 1; and WHEREAS, Douglas County and City South Lake Tahoe mutually desire and agree to amend Paragraph 2 the Interlocal Contract as set fth in this First Amendment to Interlocal Contract. NOW THEREFORE, Douglas County and City South Lake Tahoe agree as follows: 1. " Paragraph 2 Services to Be Provided" the Interlocal Contract attached hereto as Exhibit 1 is replaced in its entirety and amended to read as follows: 2. Services to Be Provided. Upon request either public agency, the other agency will provide law enfcement and / search and rescue assistance. The request may be made by any authized employee either jurisdiction. The request will be honed by the responding agency unless providing those services will deplete diminish the levels law enfcement services required in that jurisdiction will endanger the residents that jurisdiction. This contract constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and may not be changed except by an instrument in writing signed by City South Lake Tahoe and Douglas County. 7 unenfceable, such invalidity, illegality unenfceability shall not affect the other remaining provisions. 10. Construction Contract. This contract shall be construed and interpreted accding to the laws the State in which the act omission occurred. The contract will be reasonably construed to effectuate the intent both parties.
