1 GENERAL ORDER Pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 2l(b) and (c) the following Judges are hereby assigned to the Court Assignments indicated below effective February 2, This Order supersedes General Orders 08-10, 08-13, 08-19, 08-23, and ADMINISTRATION KANE COUNTY JUDICIAL CENTER Chief Judge F. Keith Brown Room 301 KCJC Office of the Chief Judge Courtroom 430 Kane County Courthouse l Wednesdays: 9:30am. Divorce Prove-ups and other administrative orders with the exception of the fifth Wednesday of the month Expungements first and third Wednesday of the month Divorce prove-ups with the exception of the fifth Wednesday of the month Re-assignment Orders: Re-assignments pursuant to 725 ILCS 5/114-5 or 735 ILCS 5/ shall be heard by the Presiding Judge of the Division in which the matter is pending, with the exception of Kane County Misdemeanors, Traffic and Ordinance violations, which shall be heard by the Chief Judge. If a Presiding Judge either recuses or is otherwise disqualified, the matter shall be heard by the Chief Judge. If the Chief Judge either recuses himself or is otherwise disqualified, the Acting Chief Judge shall make the reassignment

Post-trial matters, returns and vops 2 Bench trials, Motions by special settings Courtroom 217 Judge James Hallock Pre-Arraignment and Court All Kane County felony cases, with the exception of Felony Domestic Violence matters, Felony DUI's and Class IlI and IV Controlled Substances, shall be assigned to Courtroom 217 for prearraigmnent. When a defendant is charged with multiple offenses within the same charging document, the courtroom assignment will be based upon the highest class felony. Where there are two or more such felonies of the same class which would result in assignments to multiple courtrooms involving 203, 209 or 217, the matter shall be assigned to courtroom 217 for pre-arraignment. Unless for good cause shown, no case shall remain in courtroom 217 for a period to exceed 90 days. 1 On Mondays in which juries are set, the court room doors will be open at 8: 15 a.m. for early check in. 2 The courtroom doors will open at 1 : 15 p.m. for check in. 4
5 Upon filing of an indictment or information, or by Motion of either party or the court, the matter will be assigned by the Circuit Clerk's automated system to a trial judge in either courtroom 305, 311, 313, or 319 for arraignment and all pre-trial, trial and posttrial proceedings. Beginning May 4, 2009, jury trials completed within one day (felony and misdemeanors) as assigned by the Presiding Judge of the Felony Division.
