1 e 0010 WDT/sds 07/26/99 ORDINANCE NO '2 i- '3 l AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ISSAQUAH, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING PRE-ANNEXATION ZONING FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE NORTH ISSAQUAH ANNEXATION AREA, CITY FILE NO ANX WHEREAS, the City of Issaquah has received a petition for annexation of certain property located adjacent to the current city limits and commonly known as the North Issaquah Anexation; and WHEREAS, there are several parcels of property within said annexation area; and WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 35Al4330 and,340, the City Council held two public hearings not less than thirty (30) days apart on the proposed pre-annexation zoning designations for the property; and WHEREAS, after taking public testimony during the two public hearings, the City Council has determined to adopt pre-anexation zoning designations as established by this ordinance, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ISSAQUAH, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: i WDT , DOt'; i /000 i 0,"
2 Section 1 Pre-Anexation Zoning Established Pursuant to RCW 35A14330 and 340 the following pre-annexation zoning designations are hereby established to be effective upon annexation to Issaquah, as provided below: A The Lakeside property shall be zoned Mineral Resource The Carlson property shall be zoned Intensive CommerciaL B All other properties shall be zoned to the closest comparable Issaquah zoning as shown on Exhibit A, attached hereto A map depicting these pre-annexation zoning designations is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this reference as if set forth in full Section 2 Duties of Planning Department The Planning Department shall make the necessary amendments to the offcial zoning map of the City to carr out the provisions of this ordinance Section 3 Duties of City Clerk The City Clerk shall record a certified copy of this ordinance with the King County Department of Records and Elections Section 4 Severability If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jursdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause or phrase ofthis ordinance Section 5 Effective Date This ordinance or a summary thereof consisting of the title shall be published in the offcial newspaper of the City, and shall take effect and be in full force five (5) days after publication Passed by the City Council of the City of Issaquah, the J- c day of ar,1999 IWllT40591 RIx)(,liOOOIO!)(XliIXlil - 2-
