1 RECRUITMENT OF TEMPORARY CONSTABLES (EXECUTIVE)-MALE & FEMALE IN DELHI POLICE Opening Date : Closing Date: Applications are invited from eligible candidates who are the Natives of Meghalaya States to fill the post of Constables (Executive)-Male & Female in Delhi Police under the following categories in the pay scale of Rs /- + Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- (Level-3 as per 7 th CPC) and other allowances as admissible. Recruitment will be held at Shillong, Meghalaya. Age for the post of Constable (Exe.) Male from 18 to 21 years as on Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST upto 5 years and for OBC upto 03 years. ii. Age for the post of Constable (Exe.) Women from 18 to 25 years as on Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST, widows, divorced and judicially separated women who have not remarried.

3 iii. Candidates seeking reservation benefits for SC/ST/OBC/Ex.servicemen etc. category must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the advertisement. They should also be in possession of the certificate in the format prescribed by Govt. of India in support of their claim. The certificate should have been issued as per Annexure A. iv. The sports person of distinction who have represented a State at the National Level and the Country at the International Level in Sports during preceding three years from the date of advertisement of vacancies. The Sports Certificate should have been issued as per Annexure-B & C. The relaxation for the post of Constable (Exe.) Male& Females admissible to the sportsmen/women who participated in Athletics, Swimming, Shooting, Boxing, Cycling, Wrestling, Gymnastics, Judo, Weightlifting, Karate, Equestrian, Archery, Table Tennis, Badminton, Triathlon, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Basketball, Football, Kabaddi (circle Kabaddi/Beach Kabaddi), Hockey& Cricket. v. For male candidates minimum chest expansion has to be 4 cms, failing which he will be disqualified. vi. Those candidates who are declared not qualified in Physical Standards, i.e. height and chest, may prefer an appeal, if they so desire, to the appellate authority present on the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test ground on the same day. The decision of the appellate authority will be final and no further appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained. vii. Height: Minimum 170 Cms, (for male) relaxable by 5 Cms (165 Cms) & Minimum 157 Cms (for Female) relaxable by 2 Cms (155 Cms) for residents of hill areas after producing a certificate to this effect from the competent authority i.e. DC/DM/SDM or Tehsildar of their place of residence at the time of Physical Measurement Test. viii. Chest: Minimum cms, relaxable by 5 cms for the residents of hill areas as above. ix. DRIVING LICENSE Hon ble Lt. Governor, Delhi in exercise of Rule 30 of Delhi Police (Appointment & recruitment) Rules-1980 has accorded one time relaxation to the candidates from North-East States in the essential requirement of having valid driving license for LMV (Motorcycle/car) for recruitment of Constable (Exe.) Male in Delhi Police to be recruited through Special Recruitment Drive, 2018 subject to the condition that valid driving license shall be obtained within one year of the appointment.

4 4. PHYSICAL ENDURNCE TEST (QUALIFYING) FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE (EXE.) MALE & Female FOR ALL CANDIDATES WILL BE AS UNDER:- Male Race 1600 mtr. From the age of 31 to 35 years 9 Minutes 09 Feet 2 9 Note: 1 Those who qualify in the race will be eligible to appear in the long jump and high jump. 2 Three chances will be given to qualify in long and high jump. 3 There shall be no appeal against disqualification in race, long jump & high jump. 5. WRITTEN TEST FOR THE POST OF CONSTBALE (EXE) MALE & FEMALE All candidates, who qualify the Physical Endurance & Measurement Tests, shall be put through a written test of one and a half hour (1 1 / 2 ) duration which will carry 100 marks. The question paper will have (100 questions) and will be of objective type and will include questions on Reasoning [35 Marks], General Knowledge/Current Affairs [50 Marks] and Numerical Ability [15 Marks]. The question paper will be in English only. 6. MEDICAL STANDARD FOR CONSTABLE (EXE) MALE & FEMALE a. The minimum distant vision should be 6/12 of two eyes (without glasses)and shall be free from colour blindness. b. Candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery for improvement of their vision (Eye Sight) will be eligible if their vision (Eye Sight) is found normal after conducting following Tests at the Govt. Hospital:- 1. Contrast sensitivity 2. Dim light vision (Mesopic vision) 3. Glare acuity

The candidate must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein, loss or deformity of fingers & chest and joints, Halux valgus, Haluxrigidus, squint in eyes, bow legs and other deformity including loss of any part of body. d. The candidates should be of sound state of health, free from defect, deformity or disease likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties. No relaxation is allowed to any category of candidates on this count. 7. CHECKING OF ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES FOR ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ALL POSTS:- (a) All the candidates are required to bring their original documents/certificates, at the time of Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PEMT), pertaining to age, education, caste, wards certificate issued to wards sons/daughter of Delhi Police Personnel and sports certificate for the candidates seeking age relaxation along with the attested photocopies of all the documents/certificates. The candidates already in Govt. service will also submit NOC at the time of PE&MT. (b) The Original certificate would be checked at the time of bio-metrics of all the candidates declared successful in Physical Endurance and Measurement Test. Before the issuance of Admission Card for written test, the candidates will also be required to submit attested photo copies of all the documents/certificates. 8. AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATION FORM FOR THE ABOVE MENTIONED POSTS: The applications forms will be available from 01/10/2018 onwards, through the Offices of all District Superintendents of Police, Meghalaya, Commandants of MLP Battalions and Principal, PTS Meghalaya Police, Mawroh, Shillong and at Help desk centre of Delhi Police i.e Administrative building, Police reserve near jail road, East Khasi hills, Shillong, Meghalaya. The application form can also be downloaded from official s website of Meghalaya Police & State Government website i.e. & or Typed/photocopied application forms,as per format published in the newspaper on A4 size paper. 9. MODE OF FILLING UP OF APPLICATION FORMS (a) A recent colour passport size (35 mm x 45mm) photograph with name plate taken in red background should be firmly affixed at the appropriate place in the Application Form. Five identical passport size (35 mm x 45mm) & two

6 Stamp Size (2cm x 2.5 cm) photographs with name plate shall also be attached with the Application Form. (b) A Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- shall be attached as fee in favor of DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi (payable at Delhi) which should be valid for 6 months. The applicant also has the option of depositing Rs 300/- in cash at the time of submission of application form. The Examination fee is exempted for women and SC/ST candidates. However SC/ST candidates shall have to attach self-attested photocopy of caste certificate (in Central Govt. format) along with the Application Form. i)duly filled application forms along with Demand Draft may be sent to Chairman Recruitment Board: Delhi Police, Post Bag No. 14 Shillong GPO, PS Shillong Sadar, Distt. East Khasi Hills, Shillong, Meghalaya. or can be submitted by hand at above Help desk centre between 9 am to 4.00 pm on working days. ii)those who want to submit Examination fee in cash, they have to submit their duly filled application forms along with cash by hand at the Office of The Administrative Building, Police Reserve, East Khasi Hills, Shillong Meghalaya between 9 am to 4 pm. The applicant must enclose a self-addressed envelope (in English Only) along with the filled up application form. Write on the top of the envelope for the posts namely : For Constable (Exe) Male; Application for the Post of Constable (Exe.) - Male in Delhi Police Category: Open/Khasi/Garo/Other tribes/sc For Constable (Exe) Female; Application for the Post of Constable (Exe.) - Female in Delhi Police Category: Open/Khasi/Garo/Other tribes/sc Note: Under the Recruitment Scheme, no documents, except those desired, along with application form are required to be sent and the information given by the candidate will be presumed to be correct. To seek fee exemption of Rs. 300/-, the SC/ST etc. candidates shall attach self-attested photocopy of certificate of their respective category. The candidates, seeking age relaxation on sports basis must note that the Sports certificate should of current three years and the issuing sports federation conducting the National/International Championship should be affiliated with State/Indian Olympic Association. The candidates will be required to produce original copy of Sports Certificate at the time of Physical Endurance and

7 Measurement Test and will also attach attested photocopy of the same with Application Form. Candidates must note that Sports Certificate must be as per proforma at Annexure B & C. 10. INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP THE APPLICATION FORM FOR THE POST OF CONSTBALE (EXE.) MALE & FEMALE: The application form should be filled up in English only. Fill up the application form and tick the right choice by ball point pen (Black & Blue ink) only. The numbers given below refer to the serial numbers of the items in the application form and form should fill up in CAPITAL LETTERS. 1. Name of Applicant: The candidate should write his/her name inappropriate manner in the box. 2 to 4 Father's/ Mother s Name& Husband Name: The candidate should write his/her Father's & Mother s Name in the specified box. The female candidate should write her husband s name in the specified box (if applicable). 5. Complete Mailing Address with Name: Candidate needs to write his/her name and complete postal address along with telephone number, Mobile number and address (if any). The candidate will have to neatly write the complete address (House No./Mohalla/street/locality/colony, Post Office, Pin Code, District, State). 6. Photograph: Affix firmly a recent passport size (4cm x 5cm) colour photograph with name plate in Red background in the space provided. The photo should be pasted, not pinned or stapled. Important:- (a) The photograph should not be taken wearing a cap or goggles etc. (b) The name of the candidate in CAPITAL letters with date should be written on the body of the photograph much below the face, care should be taken that no writing is made on the face. 7. Signature: The candidate must sign in full in the provided space in the application form. The candidate should sign strictly within the box.

8 8. Category: Candidate should Tick ( ) the right category to which he belongs. Example: - If candidate belongs to Open category, the box against Open category should be tick marked as ( ). 9. Age: The candidate must write his/her age as on Date of birth: Candidate should enter his date of birth in the box e.g. datemonth-year (DD/MM/YYYY). 14. Mode of payment: - Applicant should Tick ( ) mode of payment Cash or Demand Draft (DD), write the details of Demand Draft, Name of issuing bank and date of issue of draft. The candidate must also write his/her name, date of birth and address at the back of Demand/Bank Draft drawn in favour of DCP/Recruitment Cell, NPL, Delhi, valid for six months, otherwise application form will be rejected : The candidate must supply the information asked for at Sl. Nos. 16,17 &18 of the application form. Note:- If a criminal case/criminal complaint case is/are registered/pending in any court against the candidate and if he/she was arrested, detained, discharged, acquitted, convicted, fined or summoned by court or police in criminal case etc. subsequent to the submission of form, relevant details regarding the same should be communicated by the candidate immediately to the DCP/ Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp, Delhi, failing which it shall be deemed to be suppression of factual information which may lead to cancellation of candidature at a later stage. 11. INFORMATION/HELP DESK CENTRE Information Centre shall be opened at the Administrative Building, Police Reserve, East Khasi Hills, Shillong Meghalaya from 9 am to 4 pm on all working days by the Officials of Delhi Police to answer the queries of the applicant regarding filling up of the application form. 13. DELHI POLICE DECISION FINAL Delhi Police decision in all matters relating to eligibility acceptance, selection of the applications, penalty for false information, mode of selection, conduct of examination allotment of examination centres and preparation of merit list will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry/correspondence will be entertained in this regard. 14. COURT JURISDICTION Any dispute in regard to this recruitment process will be subject to courts/tribunals having jurisdiction in Delhi. 15. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: (i ) Application forms will be rejected if they are:- (a) Incomplete (b) Without Demand Draft of Rs. 300/-(except SC/ST & women candidates) (c) Only one application is to be submitted by the candidates. Submission of multiple applications will be rejected. At any stage, if it is found that he/she appeared more than once in the said Examination, his/her candidature will be cancelled. (d) Without self-attested copy of certificate in case of SC/ST candidates for fee exemption, Sports Certificate if the Candidate is seeking age relaxation. (e) Without recent photograph after (f) Application form not signed by the candidate. (ii) If there is any variation in the interpretation of words/instructions, the English version will prevail and the decision of Police Headquarters, Delhi will be final. (iii) If candidate found ineligible at any stage, his/her candidature will be cancelled without any prior notice. (iv)the candidate must be sure about his/her height and educational qualification, which should confirm to the minimum standards laid down.

10 (v) Any change in the schedule will be informed accordingly and also would displayed on the notice board of the Offices of all District Superintendents of Police, Meghalaya, Commandants of MLP Battalions and Principal, PTS Meghalaya Police, Mawroh, Shillong. (vi) Candidates should mention his/her Roll No. /Registration No. on the application while making any correspondence with the Chairman, Meghalaya Recruitment Board. It should be addressed to Chairman, Meghalaya Recruitment Board, Administrative Building, Police Reserve, East Khasi Hills, Shillong Meghalaya. (vii) Candidates shall bring their original documents/certificates along with self-attested copies at the time of Physical Endurance and Measurement Test/Bio-metric as mentioned in Para-5. Candidates are advised to keep with themselves photocopies of Application Form, and Admit Card at the time of written examination. (ix) Admit Card for Physical Endurance and Measurement Test will be sent by post. Those who do not get their Admit card may get their Admit Card from Help Desk Centre at Administrative Building, Police Reserve, near Jail road, East Khasi Hills Shillong, Meghalaya, for the written test will be issued to the successful candidates immediately after the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test at the ground. (x)all applicant must enclose self attested photocopies of their, Domicile/Permanent Resident Certificate, (10 th Class Certificate for age proof), caste/tribe, educational & sports certificates, (document pertaining to female candidates i.e. widow/divorcee/judicially separated who have not remarried) etc. along with the application form as applicable to the applicant.
