1 SWITZERLAND- SCHENGEN VISA DOCUMENT LIST STUDENT & PARENTS SCHOOL DOCUMENT 1. Invitation letter from the host in Switzerland, original or a clear copy, dated and signed, mentioning names of all invitees, duration of stay, relationship and the purpose of the invitation, address of the host along with a copy of the passport or identity card, OCI and residential permit 2. Letter of School confirming current school admission and sanctioned leave of absence for students & teachers travelling on the tour. On School letter with Sign and Stamp of Principal/Headmaster (original, no photo copy) (Annexure 1) a. One letter should be for the entire group (lead teacher can keep this in his/her file) b. One individual letter for each student by the school STUDENT DOCUMENTS: Please Self-Attest all the documents/each Page 1. Original Valid Passport a. Passport should be valid for at least 6 months from a date of completion of journey, and contain at least 2 blank pages for the visa/s. b. If the child has more than one passport, please provide all. 2. Four of Passport Please make a photocopy of First and Last page. (Self -Attested) 3. Travel Health Insurance Must be signed by both parents a. Minimum coverage of 30,000 Euro / 50,000 USD / 50,000 CHF per person 4. Original Birth Certificate and 1 Photocopy (Self-Attested) a. Please Note: If the birth certificate is in any regional language, kindly get it translated into English and then submit 5. Three Photographs a. Recent passport size colored photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 70%-80% face coverage, white background and without border (Size: 35mm x 40mm). b. Personal Covering Letter on an A4 Size Paper: Explaining the Purpose of the trip, where you will stay, who is paying for the trip, travel dates and who will be accompanying the child. Student can sign this application. No parent signature needed (Annexure 2) PARENTS DOCUMENTS: Please Self-Attest all the documents 1. Copy of Parents ID Proof a. Copy of Parents Passports/Drive License/ Pan Card b. Death Certificate of parent(s) - if applicable (original and A4 sized copy) c. Court Order regarding child s custody - if applicable (original and A4 sized copy) i. Note: Both the parents require submitting their ID proof. 2. One NOC - No Objection Certificate (Original)

2 a. Please use text provided (See Annexure no. 3) b. Both NOC have to be written in English, attested by Notary on Rs. 50/100 stamp paper and signed by both parents on all pages. c. Originals of NOC will be given to Embassy Note: No handwritten changes will be accepted. 3. One NOC for EduTrail - No Objection Certificate (Original) a. Please use text provided (See Annexure no.3b) b. NOC will be kept by EduTrail for documentation purposes c. No handwritten changes will be accepted. 4. Father s and mother s Employment Proof (Self Attested) a. Employed / Working Parents (Self Attested) i. Employment proof (on company letterhead) ii. Salary Certificate / Form 16 b. Self-employed / Business Owners i. Original declaration letter on the company letter head stating that you are self-employed, date and signature are required (See Annexure no. 4). ii. Proof of ownership of business in PHOTOCOPY (IF ORIGINAL BUSINESS PROOF is in a regional language, then a copy of the original business proof with an English translation, attested by NOTARY, will be required) e.g.: (i) Registration paper of the company/firm, or (ii) Memorandum of the company or (iii) Partnership deed. (c) Employed. Declaration written and signed by the employer on the company s letterhead with salary details c. Farmer: Original declaration stating that you are an Agriculturist, date and signature are required (See Annexure no. 5) Note: if you are a farmer and at the same time you are self-employed/employed please provide details for both. 5. Father s and mother s Income Proof (Self Attested) a. Farmer: copies of crop sale receipts for the last 6 months. If these are in a regional language, then copies of original crop sale receipts with an English translation, attested by the NOTARY with a declaration on a plain paper, needs to be submitted. b. Self-Employed: 3 years ITR statement c. Employed: 3 years ITR statement, and Salary Slips for the last 3 Months d. Bank statement (Self Attested) i. Personal Bank Statement for last six months mentioning the Bank s name, Bank s Telephone Number clearly also mentioning applicant's name and address. ii. 6. 3 Annexure 2: Letter from the Student To be typed and printed on a Plain Paper Explaining the Purpose of the trip, where you will stay, who is paying for the trip, travel dates and who will be accompanying the child. Student can sign this application. No parent signature needed. 4 Annexure 3: No Objection Certificate (NOC) from parents Please Note: This format has to be printed on Rs.50/ 100 stamp paper, signed by BOTH parents and attested by Notary. Please delete this line before getting it printed on a stamp paper. To, The Visa Officer Embassy of Switzerland New Delhi, India Dear Sir/Madam, We (father and mother's name), wish to inform you that our son/daughter, (name of the child) currently resides at (address + phone no.) and holds a valid Indian passport. The passport number is (XXXXXXXXXX) which is valid up to (pls fill in expiry date). Our son/daughter (name of child) is studying at (School name & Address & Phone NO). Being the parent/guardian, we have authorized the school officials to accompany our child and have No Objection in sending our (son/daughter) on the group tour to Switzerland for 9 nights/8 days along with other students accompanied by the teachers of the school. We also certify that on completion of this educational tour by the School and before the expiry of the visa given by your respective authorities, our son/daughter will return to India as per the travel itinerary. We confirm that all the expenses for the trip will be borne by us. We are submitting all our financial and other necessary documents according to your requirements and request that you issue a visa to our son/daughter.
