1 81 st Regular Legislative Session HB Relating to regulating the provision of benefits and services to, and the verification of the employment status of, immigrants and to enforcing laws relating to immigrants; providing civil and criminal penalties. HB Relating to the enforcement of state and federal laws governing immigration by certain governmental entities. HB Relating to the establishment of the office of criminal and juvenile justice ombudsman. HB Relating to certain offenses regarding the possession or use of a cellular telephone by an inmate or defendant in a correctional or detention facility and to the detection and monitoring of that possession or use. HB Relating to the repeal of the authority of a county to contract with a private entity for jail facilities.
2 HB Relating to procedures for certain persons charged with certain new offenses or an administrative violation of a condition of release from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on parole or to mandatory supervision. HB Relating to the minimum number of county jailers necessary to staff a county jail. HB Relating to the ratio of correctional officers to prisoners in a county jail. HB Relating to the authority of certain county jail guards to carry firearms. HB Relating to certain policies for bailiffs and the appointment of or request for bailiffs for certain courts. HB Relating to the authority of a county to contract with a private organization for the operation of a detention facility.

HB Relating to the use of restraints to control the movement of pregnant women confined in certain correctional facilities in this state. HB Relating to certain duties of and reports submitted to the Commission on Jail Standards regarding county jail inmates who are pregnant. HB Relating to the places and conditions of detention for certain juvenile offenders. HB Relating to the documents that are required for the transfer of a defendant from a county to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. HB Relating to a central database containing information about persons who have been convicted of or received a grant of deferred adjudication for certain offenses involving the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.
4 HB Relating to the identification of certain defendants as foreign nationals who were not lawfully admitted to the United States or whose lawful status has expired and to their release on bail.
