1 Application Procedures for Multiple Visa for Nationals of India, Indonesia, Philippines, and Viet Nam The following is an outline of application procedures for nationals of India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Viet Nam who wish to apply for a multiple-entry visa as a temporary visitor. The visa is for the purpose of tourism, business affairs, and visits to relatives/acquaintances, so it is not permitted to perform activities to undertake revenue generating business operations or activities to receive remuneration. 1. Eligibility for Applicant Nationals of India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Viet Nam with ordinary MRP (Machine Readable Passport) /e-passport in compliance with the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standard, who wishes to apply for a Multiple Visa for a stay of up to 30 days and are applicable to one of the following categories: (1) Individual who has travel record as temporary visitor to Japan in the last three years and who has ability to pay the travel expense (2) Individual who has travel record as temporary visitor to Japan and travel records as temporary visitor to G7 countries (except Japan) in the last three years (3) Individual with sufficient financial capacity (4) Spouse or children of the individuals who are mentioned (3) above 2. Necessary Documents to Submit Important Notes: Arrange your documents in the order according to the checklist All documents should be printed or photocopied on A4-sized paper Separated all the application documents into individual sets Submit photocopies of documents as specified in our requirements No staples/pins/paper clips used on documents (1) Applicant with travel record to Japan in the last three years (as mentioned 1.(1) above) d. Current or old passport that shows Japanese temporary visitor visa and entry stamp in the last three years. (Photocopy) e. Income Tax Notice of Assessment (Photocopy) A photocopy of the latest year Income Tax Return (with total yearly income indication). f. Proof of Financial Capacity (applicant s bank statement or dividend certificate of stock etc. as 1

2 proof of sufficient economic status) (Photocopy) Updated bank statement/bank passbook PERSONAL savings accounts showing the account holder s name, current balance and latest 1- month's banking transactions. Internet-banking statements may be accepted on the condition that attached an official bank document carrying the account holder's name and account number reflected on the same page to proof the ownership. g. Certification of Employment (Original) [SAMPLE] statement (refer to item f. ). This requirement is exempted if the applicant is unemployed. h. A letter of explanation stating the reason of applying for the multiple visa (Original) i. Identity card issued by Singapore Government (Photocopy) (WP), Long-Term Visit Pass, etc. in schedule of stay - item (1)j. below. Otherwise, an IPA (In-Principle Approval) letter stating the j. 5 passport (pages of identification and Japanese multiple visa) instead of the documents of e., as mentioned above. f. A letter of explanation stating the reason of applying for the multiple visa (Original) g. Identity card issued by Singapore Government (Photocopy) (WP), Dependent Pass (DP), Student Pass (STP) or Long-Term Visit Pass, etc. PR below 15 years of age not in possession of an identity card may submit a photocopy of the reentry Permit Form 7 instead. in schedule of stay - item (4)h. below.
