1 REINTEGRATION POLICY FOR RETURNING ARMENIAN MIGRANTS
2 The action is co-financed by through Mobility Partnership Facility (MPF), implemented by International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) and carried out by the French Office for Immigration and Integration (OFII)
3 MPF is an EU initiative contributing to the operationalization of the GAMM(Global Approach to Migration and Mobility ). MPF supports the preparation and implementation of Mobility Partnerships(MPs) as well as Common Agendas on Migration and Mobility (CAMMs)

7 Main goal of the project: To strengthen the capacities of competent authorities and civil society in Armenia to actively support dignified sustainable return and reintegration
8 Specific objectives 1.Reinforcing capacities of responsible authorities to actively support dignified sustainable return and reintegration 2.Support the social and economic reintegration of Armenian nationals who return voluntarily or involuntarily from EU member states 3.Inform target group of potential migrants on the possibilities of legal migration including labour and circular migration and the risks of irregular migration
9 Objective 1.Reinforcing capacities of responsible authorities to actively support dignified sustainable return and reintegration Activity 1.1: Ensure equal access of returning migrants to information, referral services and support reintegration Outcome: Returning migrants welcomed and registered; information provided, their needs assessed; legal, psychological and social counselling provided to them; individual reintegration plan developed; returning migrants referred to relevant state and non-state organisations for receiving reintegration assistance. Results: 45 cases from 9 EUMS countries have applied to the RCR and received counselling and referral.
10 Objective 1.Reinforcing capacities of responsible authorities to actively support dignified sustainable return and reintegration Activity 1.2: Further develop and strengthen the data-base of returning migrants Outcome:Technical features of the database improved Results: The IT specialist addressed the technical issues and made the database more user-friendly and practical

12 Objective 1.Reinforcing capacities of responsible authorities to actively support dignified sustainable return and reintegration Activity 1.3: Enhance the institutional cooperation and coordination on return and reintegration activities with the active involvement of SMS Outcome: Reintegration assistance provided by the participating authorities in a more coordinated approach. Results: 1 Reintegration cooperation and coordination forum/rccf/ was organized on March 30,2007.

14 Objective 2.Support the social and economic reintegration of Armenian nationals who return voluntarily or involuntarily from EU member states Activity 2.1: Allocation of the business start-up in-kind assistance Outcome: A system of service providers to assist future beneficiaries is in place Returnees acquire knowledge on business plan writing and budget estimation Start-up of businesses by returnees is facilitated Returnees are equipped with sufficient means for business start-up. Awareness on reintegration support will be ensured.

16 Objective 2.Support the social and economic reintegration of Armenian nationals who return voluntarily or involuntarily from EU member states Activity 2.1: Allocation of the business start-up in-kind assistance Results: 2 service providers work with the beneficiaries to develop the business plans. So far 10 business projects are approved and financed. (guest house, ice-cup production, cattle-breeding, laser engraving and cutting services, furniture production, atelier and tailoring services, shoe production, aviculture, etc.)
17 Objective 2.Support the social and economic reintegration of Armenian nationals who return voluntarily or involuntarily from EU member states Activity 2.2: Professional trainings to increase employability of returning migrants. Outcome:Professional skills of returnees will be enhanced. Results: 9 beneficiaries have started trainings in different fields: hairdressing, makeup,, digital marketing, fourchette design

19 Objective 2.Support the social and economic reintegration of Armenian nationals who return voluntarily or involuntarily from EU member states Activity 2.3 Medical assistance Outcome: Enhanced possibilities for returnees to benefit from medical care. Results: 5 returning migrants have been referred to the medical center for corresponding check-up services
20 Objective 2.Support the social and economic reintegration of Armenian nationals who return voluntarily or involuntarily from EU member states Activity 2.4 Temporary accommodation Outcome:Most vulnerable returnees/returning families can profit from temporary accommodation.
21 Objective 2.Support the social and economic reintegration of Armenian nationals who return voluntarily or involuntarily from EU member states Activity 2.5: Armenian language training Outcome: Knowledge of Armenian language among returnees enhanced. Result: 2 children are attending the training
22 Objective 3.Inform target group of potential migrants on the possibilities of legal migration including labour and circular migration and the risks of irregular migration Activity 3.1 Training and other institutional support activities to reinforce capacities of relevant state institutions, local authorities and NGOs Outcome: Participants provided with reliable information about legal migration, including circular and labour migration opportunities in EU MS, as well as the EU Immigration Portal and the different EU MS websites on migration. Results: 2 meetings/workshops held (March 23, May 30,2017)

24 Objective 3.Inform target group of potential migrants on the possibilities of legal migration including labour and circular migration and the risks of irregular migration Activity 3.2 Promotion of EU Immigration Portal Outcome: Enlarging the number of viewers and users. Results: Material translated from portal are placed on the project facebook page.
25 Objective 3.Inform target group of potential migrants on the possibilities of legal migration including labour and circular migration and the risks of irregular migration Activity 3.3: Public information campaign in Armenia on risks of irregular migration Outcome: Armenian population s understanding of the risks of irregular migration will increase.
