1 Labour Foreign Employee Quota Request and Renewal of Work Permit for Foreigners for 2019 Notification No. 028/18 on foreign employees quota request and renewal of validity of work permit for foreigners for 2019 On 20 August 2018, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training ( MLVT ) issued Notification No. 028/18 ( Notification ) informing enterprises which are employing foreign employees for the year 2019 to apply for foreign employees usage quota approval from 1 September 2018 to 30 November The Notification also requires enterprises that currently employ foreign employees in Cambodia to apply for the renewal of the latter s respective work permits. The application period is from 1 January 2019 to 31 March The application for quota approval for foreign employees usage and application for renewal of work permits for foreigners shall be done via The public service fee related to foreign employees are set out below. No. Description Unit Fee for Services Rendered (Riel) Maximum Timeframe for Services Rendered (Business Days) 1. Issuance of Confirmation Letter (duplicata) for Foreign Employees 80, days 2. Registration of Employment Contract for Foreign Employees (fixed duration contract 40, days with valid start and end date) 3. Work Book and Work Permit of Foreigner 520, days 4. Work Book and Work Permit of Foreigner (Triangle Development Area) 440, days 5. Work Book and Work Permit of Foreigner (Foreign Permanent Residence) 360, days 6. Physical Examination of Foreign Employees Prior to Commencement of Work 100,000 7 days Enterprises who employ foreign employees and foreigners working in Cambodia shall duly adhere to the provisions of this Notification.
