Marxist Obama Wins as Conservative Predictions of a Romney Victory Go Up in Smoke Although Republican Mitt Romney lost an easily winnable election, many conservative commentators and analysts took a beating as well. They were determined to believe that Romney would win no matter what Obama threw at him. The Fox News Channel in particular failed to provide accurate news and information during what many regarded as the most critical presidential campaign of our nation s history. The Fox News and other conservative pundits underestimated the aggressive nature of the Obama political machine and its ability to exploit economic, class, and cultural divisions in society for political gain. They also demonstrated no real understanding of how the new progressive infrastructure, financed largely by George Soros, has assumed great importance for the Democratic Party. America s Survival, Inc. (ASI) began exposing this infrastructure when we held our October 27, 2011 National Press Club Soros Files conference. Our site remains the most important source of information about the hedge fund billionaire and Obama supporter. America s Survival, Inc. Cliff Kincaid, President
Mitt Romney and other top Republicans, such as Karl Rove, steered away from any involvement in charges that Obama is a Marxist or socialist with a mysterious past that needs to be investigated. Rove, Former Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush who serves as a Fox News Channel contributor. He became known as The Architect and Bush s Brain for George W. Bush s two electoral victories. Now it s being said that Rove and his investors were the biggest losers on Election Day Rove had raised $330 million for anti-obama advertising through his Super PAC, American Crossroads, but had been advising Republicans NOT to call Obama a socialist or left-winger. Rove believed that undecided, moderate or left-leaning voters would jump to Obama s side if that charge were leveled against him. If you say he s a socialist, they ll go to defend him, Rove said. If you call him a far out left-winger, they ll say, no, no, he s not. Rove said Romney had to remain focused on the facts and adopt a respectful tone toward Obama. That meant: No talk of Obama's communist mentor, Frank Marshall Davis. No talk of his backing from the Communist Party USA, Democratic Socialists of America, and other such groups. No talk of his extremely close personal relations with such figures as Hugo Chavez of Venezuela and the rulers of Russia. 2
No talk of how Obama couldn't pass a basic background check in order to get a low-level federal job. Americans were faced with a Marxist President in the White House and yet the Party Boss of the GOP, Karl Rove, wanted to be "respectful" toward Obama and to refuse to discuss his true nature. It was a recipe for disaster. Conservatives were told that Romney had a natural advantage as a successful businessman over a President who was presiding over a lackluster economy. In the words of one clever pundit, the assumption was that Bain Capital would emerge victorious over Das Kapital. It seemed like common sense. But voters didn t fully understand that Obama did represent Das Kapital, the name of a book by Karl Marx that offers a critique of capitalism. And Rove s $330 million didn t tell them. America s Survival, Inc. did its absolute best to expose Barack Obama and his agenda. We held a major July 19 Washington, D.C. Lenin and Sharia conference on the vetting of Barack Obama; produced several videos, including The Unvetted, on how we uncovered the Frank Marshall Davis scandal; and placed advertising for our videos and reports on the Internet. One of our conference speakers, Joel Gilbert, produced a film, Dreams from My Real Father, which carried the investigation of Davis one step further by exposing Davis as Obama s real father. Millions of copies of his film were distributed nationwide. Trevor Loudon, a researcher for our Soros Files project and the author of Barack Obama and the Enemies Within, spoke to 150 groups in 20 states. Many of these groups were Tea Party or Glenn Beck 9/12 groups. 3
We expected resistance from the liberal media. But Fox News also refused to examine our information in-depth. We think this may have been because of influence from Karl Rove. He did not want to expose Obama s Marxist roots. The failure by the liberal and most of the conservative media to truly vet Obama continues to be a major failing of our democratic system. Professor Paul Kengor wrote a blockbuster book this year, The Communist, on Obama s mentor, which is a great contribution to helping people understand Obama s policies domestically and internationally. He spoke at our July 19 conference. But because Obama s mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a Communist, even conservative media organizations such as Fox News were reluctant to cover this topic in-depth. It is reported that Kengor was warned in advance of some of his media appearances not to even suggest that Obama was a Marxist. Joel Gilbert s provocative film about the Obama-Davis relationship, Dreams from My Real Father, was not covered at all by Fox News. As a result, Communist Party USA leader Sam Webb has hailed the election results. An African-American president was re-elected to the office of the Presidency, the Democrats unexpectedly strengthened their hand in the Senate and House, and victories, including big ones for marriage equality, were registered at the state level, he said in the communist People s World. Moreover, the balance of forces - that is, the ground on which people fight going forward - has shifted in a progressive direction. A clear winner, in addition to Obama, was the liberal media. Although liberal news outlets are losing viewers and readers, Obama s victory has invigorated these news organizations and given them a new lease on life. They are more powerful than ever because they correctly predicted the race. They understood the nature of the electorate and how it had shifted in Obama s favor. It is possible there were some isolated cases of voter fraud on behalf of Obama or other progressive candidates, but it is absolutely true that the election results, which were predicted in most polls, reflected the work of the Obama/Soros machine in identifying and turning out Democratic voters. On the 4
other hand, the Fox News conservatives used flawed polling data, such as Rasmussen Reports, to predict a Romney win. They have egg all over their faces. Except for Juan Williams, the liberal Fox News commentator who predicted an Obama win, the personalities on Fox News were wildly off the mark in their predictions for the election. Karl Rove, Fred Barnes, Michael Barone, Charles Krauthammer, Sean Hannity and Dick Morris had all predicted a Romney win. Rush Limbaugh, Larry Kudlow of CNBC, Peggy Noonan of the Wall Street Journal, George Will, Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck, and Hugh Hewitt of the Salem Radio Network also predicted a Romney win. Generally speaking, they thought Republicans were more excited about Romney than Democrats were about Obama. This turned out to be a fatal miscalculation. On November 5, for example, Rove had predicted Romney winning with 285 Electoral College votes and Obama losing with 253. He said at the time that he believed that Nevada, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania were in play and very winnable for Romney. If crowds at his recent stops in these states are any indication of his supporters enthusiasm, Mr. Romney will likely be able to claim victory in these states as well, he added. In fact, Obama beat Romney by six points in Nevada, seven points in Wisconsin, and five points in Pennsylvania. The tie in the polls goes to the challenger, Fred Barnes had said, in a Weekly Standard article headlined, Why Romney Will Win. He explained, The Obama getout-the-vote drive (GOTV) is not quite the powerful juggernaut it was in 2008 and the Republican effort is far better than four years ago. 5
Michael Barone, the anchor of Fox News election coverage, had predicted Romney winning 315 Electoral College votes and Obama only 223. Fundamentals usually prevail in American elections. That s bad news for Barack Obama most voters oppose Obama s major policies and consider unsatisfactory the very sluggish economic recovery. In a Fox News video, Barone, who is also the senior political analyst at the Washington Examiner, talked about a possible hidden vote that could lead to a Romney landslide. He said the polls showing an Obama edge were characterized by a systemic problem of failing to reach the actual electorate. Morris s prediction was Romney 325, Obama 213. That s right, Morris said. A landslide for Romney approaching the magnitude of Obama s against McCain. Obama beat McCain percent. In a video of a Morris appearance on the Fox News Greta Van Susteren show, Morris explained why he believes Mitt Romney could decisively defeat Obama and seal his fate as a one-term president. Morris said, In the popular vote, he [Romney] is going to 6
win by more than five points. He said he came to this conclusion through an analysis of how the polls were overestimating Democratic turnout. You have me back on the show, Morris said. You hold me accountable. He left no room for debate. I ve done this for a living, he said, emphasizing his credentials as a political analyst. On radio, Rush Limbaugh was convinced that more Republicans would vote for Romney in 2012 than voted for McCain in 2008, thus propelling Romney to victory over Obama. Limbaugh also emphasized that Romney was getting huge crowds at his rallies and that early voting for Romney was up. He said, my thoughts, my intellectual analysis of this factoring everything I see plus the polling data it s not even close. Three hundred-plus electoral votes for Romney. In fact, Romney got only 48 percent of the vote, just two points over McCain s total in Romney lost his home state of Massachusetts by percent and Wisconsin, which is Paul Ryan s home state, by In the end, prominent conservative news personalities made major miscalculations about where the election was heading and the nature of the two candidates and their campaigns. Foremost among them, Karl Rove, vows to press on in 2014 and
