The Streamy Awards, a multi-platform event honoring the best in YouTube, online video and the creators behind it, aired on VH1 and its digital platforms this evening and was hosted by Grace Helbig and Tyler Oakley. Online video s biggest and most influential creators came out for the first-ever live broadcast of the Streamy Awards. This year s event opened with Hailee Steinfeld performing Love Myself and closed with Sir Mix-A-Lot s rendition of his iconic Baby Got Back, with other musical performances by A Great Big World, Futuristic, Future, and OMI. Bringing together digital and traditional celebrities, presenters and attendees included Paula Abdul (American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance), Mel B. (America s Got Talent), Natasha Bedingfield, superstar Ciara, Cameron Dallas, Phil DeFranco, Ricky Dillon, Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries), Frankie Grande, GloZell Green, Hannah Hart, Mamrie Hart, ijustine, NeNe Leakes (Fashion Police, The Real Housewives of Atlanta), Jenna Marbles, King Bach, Miranda Sings, Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars), Harley Morenstein, Ingrid Nilsen, Pauley Perrette (NCIS), IISuperwomanII, Jillian Rose Reed (Awkward), Smosh, and James Van Der Beek (Dawson s Creek, Adi Shankar's Bootleg Universe). Baddie Winkle was the Streamy Awards Trophy Girl. Each of the award nominee video packages, excluding the audience choice awards, had a distinct look and feel because fellow online creators were responsible for putting them together. Shaytards (Beauty), Honest Trailers (Comedy), Action Movie Kid (Pranks), Chester See (Kids & Family), Kandee Johnson (First Person Series), The Most Popular Girls (Lifestyle) and Kid President (Viner of the Year) were each charged with the creation with a category.
