2 Welcome Rally Attendees This brochure contains a summary of the DataStorm Users Rally seminars and meals. Some functions or sessions may be changed as necessary. Please check in the Event Center each morning for any changes in the day s activities. The seminars, training sessions and meals will be in the Event Center, located Northeast of the RV Park north entrance. Your registration fee (separate from the campsite fee) covers the meals and beverages during the course of the rally. See your packet for additional details on the menu. You MUST be present to win the GRAND PRIZE Sunday October 21 st, 2007 Noon 5:00 pm Arrive at the Campground and register in the Office. Settle into your site. Basic principles will be discussed, followed by a discussion of the components and role of each in providing service. How to tell the difference between them. What to do when a not so friendly code pops up. Who knows we may create a DataStorm Users Cookbook before we are through *Controller Configuration (Advanced) Ed Travis Should you even touch your controller? Set up your controller to do what you want. What are my options? Which ones do I need? Learn the mandatory fields and what they mean. Learn to do an NV clear and to find the information needed to set up the controller properly. *Spouse Program: Working and Living in an RV Georgia Day Whether part-time or full-time, you can truly have the best of both worlds. Now is the time to ask the questions you have about mounts, controllers, dish size, service plans or anything else related to your DataStorm system. *Safe Computing Jim Guld Remember BUCS, as in Backup, Update, Cleanup and Scan. Like a car tune-up, if you do it regularly your computer will run much better. Combine that with learning what to click on and what not to click on and you can do a pretty good job of remaining virus-free as well. *Spouses Program: Hobby Area Another of the hobbies identified Monday will be covered. *Developing a Basic Website Chris Guld Blogs are the easiest way to get started publishing on the web, but, if you want more - this seminar will show you how. It will explain the tools you need: domain name, web host, html editor, ftp software and image editor. We will give examples of each. *Spouse Program: Organizing Different Strokes for Different Folks Georgia Day A round table discussion to share ideas, inventions, and creative solutions to organizing your RV to increase your playtime. *Service Plans Which Is Right for You (Hughes, Surfbeam, idirect) Maurice Rojas Is the plan you currently have the right one for you? What are the options? What are the specific differences? Why do the costs vary so much? *Picasa (Google s Photo Manager) Chris Guld From the Camera to the Web - Picasa handles it all. Find nearby stores and restaurants, get directions, and attach your photos to the locations where they were taken.
