2 Monitoring report on the website of the Statistical Service of Cyprus November 25 This report contains key tables and graphs that provide monthly information on access to the website of the Statistical Service of Cyprus. The first part contains information for all available months and the second part contains specific statistical data concerning the reporting month. It is noted that data is available from February 25 onwards. Part 1: Comparative Overview 1.1 Number of Unique Visitors 1 In November 25 the number of Unique Visitors was 5.28 and compared to October there was an increase by 6,5%. This is the biggest number since May 25 when the number of Unique Visitors was the highest for the whole period under examination. Even if the same IP Address visits the Web Site more than once, only the first visit is counted. IP Address is defined as a numeric address that is given to servers and users connected to the Internet. This IP address might be the same number each time you log on to the internet (called a static IP), or it might be a newly assigned number each time you connect, based on what's available

It is the second highest number since February. 1.3 Average Pages Viewed Per Visit 4 The number of Average Pages Viewed per Visit decreased, by 1% compared to October. Due to the fact that the increase of Visits is greater than the increase of Page Views, Average pages viewed per visit showed a very small decrease. 4,82 2 Page - Short term for Web Page. A Web Page is a document created with HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) that is part of a group of similar documents available on the World Wide Web. Collectively, these documents form what is known as a website. 3 Page Views - A Page View is defined as a single request successfully served to view a Web Page. 4 Visits - Number of times the specified visitor visited the site. A Visit is a series of actions that begins when a visitor access a web page of the site for the first time, and ends when the visitor does not perform any actions within a 3 minute time interval - 2 -

The difference is almost 21% and this is the second biggest for the whole period under examination. 1.5 Most Accessed File Types No. Month Xls Pdf doc ppt zip 1 February March April May June July August September October November xls: In November there was a minor increase by 1%, compared to October, in the number of Excel downloaded files. pdf: The number of Adobe Acrobat downloaded files increased to and as a result is the highest since February. Compared to October there was a significant increase by 1%. doc: In November the number of Word downloaded files showed a significant decrease (for second consecutive month) by 49% compared to the previous month. ppt & zip: Compared to October, there was huge increase in the number of PowerPoint downloaded files by 28% and a significant decrease by 47%, for Zip downloaded files

5 1.6 Overview of Specific Web Pages Demonstration of the following tables and graphs aim a thorough observation of specific Web Pages of the Statistical Service s Website. This resulted in a worse positioning in Top Pages ranking

Taking into account also the increase in the number of Adobe Acrobat downloaded files, it can be derived that in November users showed, for second consecutive month, increased interest for the publications of the Statistical Service
