The interesting piece on Rotary mottoes from Cliff Dochterman's booklet which you used in "The Fizz" (February 10) was accurate when it was written. However, the secondary motto was revised during the 2010 R.I. Council on Legislation. Its current wording is "One profits most who serves best." As the District 6460 Delegate to the C-O-L, it was my honor to present the proposed revision to the delegates at the suggestion of the Macomb, Illinois, Rotary Club. The proposal was adopted by a heavy margin.
